i would hope not. some of our newbies have made some questionable decisions in their past, maybe even some outright bonehead decisions. hernandez is seemingly on a level with a certain other former bill.

kelly's team from necessary roughness?

Jim Dunaway?

Given what happened to the Falcons and Vick's contract (they couldn't recover his signing bonus after he was convicted), I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats included a clause in AH's contract to recover funds from him if he were convicted of a felony. I'm not sure if the collective bargaining agreement would allow this but given AH's background and red flags before the draft, that's what I would do. If they can recover the bonus money, I wonder how or if this affects their cap utilization.

PFT stated today that because they didnt wait for the situation to play out they have given up the chance to recover signing bonus.

Maybe not this season Doc, but ill bet within 3 years he is. Maybe Pro Bowl is a stretch. But he will be feared.

Name a Pro Bowl WR of the Pats outside of Welker (and Moss, who was a Pro Bowler before joining the Pats)? Never mind he gets injured a lot.

@NFLONFOX: FACT: Of Tom Brady's 634 targets last season, 75.2% were to players no longer with the Patriots

Won't make a bit of difference. He will still throw the ball 600 times. It's plug and play with a QB like that.

GO BILLS!!!

Elway, Manning and Welker are probably laughing their asses off right now... not only did they sign Welker so Manning will have 10,000 recepetions, but their competition is the AFC is not alot less, competitive

I can't quite put my finger on why it is, but this thread has gone from really good to just dreadful over the last few days.

Because it started out really funny. Funniest thread I've seen on here in quite some time. Now it's just Internet forum lawyers exchanging briefs

Holy crap...maybe I'm just too jaded of players skating away most of the time for committing crimes, so Hernandez getting the boot is a bit of a shock. If the Pats are doing this with one of their best remaining players, it seems that they have real reason to suspect that Hernandez wouldn't be playing.

Sad that the Bills need Welker, Gronk and Hernandez gone, and probably Brady to have a chance according to our posts. :bag:

Well, we're two for four, with Gronk still questionable for when the Bills play them (at home!) Week 1!

Just imagine, Brady without those three facing Pettine's scheme fully realized.

But Roger Goodell says the Pats will get 10 compensatory picks for losing Henandez.

PTR

And be allowed to video tape 2 opponents.

Should be bring him in for a look?

Sure...just don't "kick" the tires...that'll get you shot.

If he's charged with murder, there probably won't be very much money left to recover anyways.

As doc points out, the pats do fine without PPro Bowl WRs.

Oencil in Manning for his usual first round playoffs loss.

name any WR that's done anything besides Moss or Welker the Pats have had in the last few years. They use Gronk and Hernandez as their weapons. Now they won't have any. Tom and Bill will find someone to get the ball to. Watch out is all I'm gonna say.
