Interesting note in that LA Times story: Gerald Casale seems to suggest that Myers left the band over (supposedly) Mark Mothersbaugh's desire to be more electronic musically. Devo is considered a goof by many but there was some real musicianship there between Myers and guitarist Bob (Bob 1) Mothersbaugh.
