PromoTheRobot Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Okay, it's not Bills-related but it's football. Would you take a sack at full speed? PTR
Ralph W. Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I already played football in high school and college. If I did that now I would be going in for surgery the next morning.
marauderswr80 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I didn't think it looked that bad....I'd take that hit...
MDH Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I didn't think it looked that bad....I'd take that hit... Considering the worst part of the impact is usually being driving into the ground with the 300lb guy on top of you he saved himself a lot of pain by having a pad to land on.
eball Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Considering the worst part of the impact is usually being driving into the ground with the 300lb guy on top of you he saved himself a lot of pain by having a pad to land on. This. Those shoulder separations are the result of a ground/QB/DE sandwich. Landing on a pad takes the realism out of it.
B-Large Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 (edited) I would only do it if I could be pancaked on concrete. No kitty pad or grass stuff. and I want to lambasted by Wilfork of some other tubby DL-man. Edited June 25, 2013 by B-Large
boyst Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Hell yeah I would but I would not let myself just sit there and take it....
chris heff Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 No I would not. I was going to give my reasoning but it should not be necessary.
hondo in seattle Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Yeah the pad was nice. But I'm in my 50s and had back surgery last year. That hit - pad or no pad - would have put tears in my eyes.
Buffalos#1Fan Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Considering the worst part of the impact is usually being driving into the ground with the 300lb guy on top of you he saved himself a lot of pain by having a pad to land on. Yeah, that's not that impressive. This I would not do.
bowery4 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Thanks! but now I am watching the Kate Upton spin around with body paint on GIF. I doubt I will watch the sack thing.
Homey D. Clown Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 nope. Been there in the past, and I'm not in my 20's anymore.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Besides landing on the pad, the "sackee" was not exactly a small guy either… not exactly a pencil-necked geek.
Stealth Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Still being in my 20's and not all that small I wouldn't have an issue with that. I think the mat on the field is retarded. Although having played football I know you're more likely to get hurt standing still expecting to get hurt. It's a situational drill but taking a free hit is an easy way to get injured.
transient Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Thanks! but now I am watching the Kate Upton spin around with body paint on GIF. I doubt I will watch the sack thing. Happy Friday indeed! Of course I'd do that! ...what sack thing?
BringBackFergy Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Funny how they put his blood type on his helmet "O-Neg" No, I wouldn't take that hit voluntarily.
