BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Pretty darn good...with Moulds restructuring that'll give us over 10 million bucks to play with. Enough to re-sign Williams or Jennings and then bring in 2-3 quality free agents. Sounds good. Also, interesting to note is that we would save around 1.3 million dollars on this year's cap by trading away Henry.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 The one plus side to not having a 1st rounder is not needing to fork over the cash to our rookie pool. And yes, that is the ONLY plus side to not having a 1st rounder.
Happy Days Lois & Clark Posted January 12, 2005 Author Posted January 12, 2005 If the Bills were to cut Prioleau, Lindell, & Reed and trade Henry. That would make them about 11.7 under the cap + the savings they get from Moulds reworking his deal. I think Donahoe should also consider talking to Bledsoe about taking another paycut too

Fixxxer Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I don't see Reese in there, I wonder how much would he save if he's cut.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I don't see Reese in there, I wonder how much would he save if he's cut. He's an UFA now.
pm73 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Intersting info on that salary cap page. Looking at the Cap Hits, i'd say our biggest bargains this year were: Sam Adams $2,625,000 Chris Kelsay $723,750 Willis McGahee $1,416,500 Terrence McGee $482,500 Brian Moorman $692,857 Talk about bang for the buck.
clumping platelets Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Thanks for the attention to my cap page. A few notes on available cap space 1) Bills are likely to have a cap adjustment (cap debit) which will decrease available cap space 2) McGahee and M. Williams both have salary escalators 3) RFA & EFA tenders could eat up another $1 million when adjusted for top 51
FTW_BillsFan Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 8 mil under the cap is a good start. This will let us resign Phat Pat and the restructure or Moulds should get us to around 11 mil. What is the cap hit/help if we trade Bledsoe or Henry? What FA's do we need? I think we could start shoring up positions through the draft, especially K (nugent).
dundy249 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 The 84 million is not a set number. I read somewhere that the league could announce a cap of 86-89 million due to the new direct tv deal.
ch19079 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 did you see how much P. Prioleau is making??? and his cap hit. cut him please. after moulds restructure we will look pritty good cap wise.
