WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 This just came over at Buffalo Rumblings and hadn't seen it yet: http://http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/6/13/4427056/buffalo-bills-stevie-johnson-had-fractured-back-per-report It's good to see him practicing now, but I guess it should silence some complaints about him being slow to get back into camp.

Please don't tell me it was on a mountain.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 Fractured it filming his workout video, eh? Apparently. See what happens when he works out in the offseason?
C.Biscuit97 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Fractured it filming his workout video, eh? People complain about him not working out in the offseason. He does this year and breaks his back.
NoSaint Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 its an interesting spot - hes suited up all the time, but hes seemingly always hurt too.... all know all nfl players are always beat up but.... its hard to figure what to make of his health.
Dorkington Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Apparently. See what happens when he works out in the offseason? Spot. On.

He never misses games though. It's the old saying about there's a difference between being injured and being hurt. It's why IMO it is beyond stupid to ever question SJ's heart and dedication to the Bills.
The Big Cat Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 People complain about him not working out in the offseason. He does this year and breaks his back. I guess 26 is too late in life to hit the gym, after all.
Nanker Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/06/13/stevie-johnsons-back-injury-was-fractured-l-5-vertabra/ Nothing much added in their article, but there it is for your reading pleasure.
C.Biscuit97 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I guess 26 is too late in life to hit the gym, after all. He's hit the gym enough to go from Junior College to Kentucky to leading the SEC in receiving to 7th round pick to 3 time 1,000 yard receiver. He's apparently doing something right.

Billsrhody Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Hoo Boy.. thought it said "Stevie has broken his back.." That's a relief.
Leelee Phoenix Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 It's why IMO it is beyond stupid to ever question SJ's heart and dedication to the Bills. How is it stupid when Stevie himself said he doesn't do the work the team asks him to do.

Well, what can you do? Everyone involved would like to see him healthy. But if he's still the best receiver on the team, even dinged up, it really is just a case of taking the bad with the good. It may get interesting if some of the young receivers the Bills have picked up actually pan out and he continues to suffer injuries.
Gugny Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Stevie did not break his back. God broke Stevie's back.

Don't bother. Being 11th, 19th and 18th in yards over the last three seasons makes you a football god. And when you're ranked 8th, 25th, and 35th in touchdowns over the same period, you can do no wrong, and so long as your team sucks, you're justified in shirking the organization's suggested offseason training regimen.
K-9 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 People complain about him not working out in the offseason. He does this year and breaks his back. Broke his back busting his ass. Oh the irony! GO BILLS!!!
C.Biscuit97 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Relax, Ms. Johnson. Sweet burn. Maybe Stevie can work out with David Boston because we see how that took his career to the next level.
