26CornerBlitz Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I wonder - I know this move is probably fueled most by the desire of Bills coaches to get Manuel more reps, but also, I think it speaks to their satisfaction with Tuel. I noticed on profootballtalk.com that Vontae Leach, the Ravens FB, is going to be released or traded. Hmmm... the Bills are going to use a FB, and to add that kind of blocker to help Spiller/Jackson, and to aid with QB protection - that makes sense to me, too. Now we have an open roster spot. Wouldn't be surprised to see him head back to the Texans to again be the FB for Arian Foster
chris heff Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Another bizarre chapter in Bills lore comes to an end. Trade for him, never dress him, re-sign him, cut him. Did I miss anything?
John from Riverside Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 To me its a bit bizarre because he had some nice throws in practice....... more reps for EJ
BADOLBILZ Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) Just saw from the mobile app. thoughts? It would be better news if Kolb was the one who was cut but ultimately EJ needs to be the starter right away so they can decide whether to draft another quarterback early. If Kolb was at the top of the offseason depth chart for a team in a large market, the media would be talking about how crazy it is that the absolute laughingstock QB of the entire NFL is in line to be the starting QB for that team. And yes he is THE LAUGHINGSTOCK. Big contract, traded for a lot, couldn't even reach double digits in games played or TD passes in Arizona with Larry Fitzgerald as one of his receivers. Mark Sanchez + injury prone - big plays = Kevin Kolb. But since the Bills are considered a laughingstock themselves, it's not newsworthy. I am hoping EJ absolutely destroys him in camp and they flush that turd. Edited June 11, 2013 by BADOLBEELZ
Frez Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Opens a spot on roster............hmmmmm Ravens to release or trade Vonta Leach
uncle flap Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 With Tarvaris's release, the Bills gain $1.75 mil cap space.
Rubes Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I'm a doctor, not a lawyer. We don't roll like that. Speak for yourself, big guy.
Wing Man Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 The Jets are down about eleven quarterbacks. They'll probably sign TJ.
Doc Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Speak for yourself, big guy. I can honestly say that I've never given or received a pat on the butt from a man at work. OTOH women...
tonyjustbcuz Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Now the Pats can cut Tebow and pick up TJax. I got a good laugh out of that one!!! Thanks..
DDD Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Another crap move by Nix trading for this guy especially considering Seattle was going to cut him. Fully suspect Kolb will start week one.
tonyjustbcuz Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Really upset that he never got a chance to play in a game but that could be attributed to the fact that he apparently couldn't pick up the playbook. Either way, it pretty much makes it a two man battle from here on out. Good, now who did you say is competing against Tuel? E.J. OR Kolb?
DDD Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Another bizarre chapter in Bills lore comes to an end. Trade for him, never dress him, re-sign him, cut him. Did I miss anything? The brilliance of Buddy Nix,
tonyjustbcuz Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 (edited) The Jets are down about eleven quarterbacks. They'll probably sign TJ. Heard the Jets are pursuing Adam "Pacman" Jones, and Chad "OochooCinco" Johnson! almost forgot...T.Owens too! Edited June 11, 2013 by tonyjustbcuz
Dorkington Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Glad to see the competition thin for EJ. Sad to see TJax get treated like this, though.
Fixxxer Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 I know he's not even a solid player, but you have to feel bad for the guy. One year on the bench, re-signed by a new coaching staff and not making it to TC must be tough.
ChasBB Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 So much for the notion that "No one loses a job in OTAs". Regardless, I'm glad they narrowed the field earlier rather than later. Just hope he doesn't go to an AFC East opponent to tap his knowledge of the playbook. The Bills made the right decision here I think.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted June 11, 2013 Posted June 11, 2013 Does this mean that the people who were all over TJax getting more reps than EJ can now stand down from red alert?
