USMCBillsFan Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 You can watch it live on MLB.com if you're at work.
USMCBillsFan Posted January 11, 2005 Author Posted January 11, 2005 Randy is wearing number 41. I'm glad that he didn't get Bernie's 51. Is speaking candidly about his run in with the photographer yesterday and apologized. Randy seems like a very good guy. Let's hope his pitching stays as strong as it's been.
USMCBillsFan Posted January 11, 2005 Author Posted January 11, 2005 ...hope he's in a better mood today. 201940 The press conference was actually pretty funny. After he apologized he got ribbed a little and did a little ribbing back. Everyone that knew RJ said that the incident didn't reflect the real RJ. I think he was a little caught offguard by NY media. They are a different animal than anywhere else he's been.

He started to get defensive and argue with that guy a bit.

Like A Mofo Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 When I see Wallers here talk about Randy Johnson and I see 'RJ"...I cannot help but cringe
Mike32282 Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Yeah. It was all pretty funny. He was good natured about it all overall though. 201959 Yeah he was. I can't wait to see him pitch game 1.
Alaska Darin Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 6'10" in pinstripes is going to make him look that much more intimidating.
Thailog80 Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 6'10" in pinstripes is going to make him look that much more intimidating. 201972 With a 97 mph fastball.
gantrules Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 I'm glad he's in the AL. This way he can't throw another perfect game against us.
USMCBillsFan Posted January 11, 2005 Author Posted January 11, 2005 Yeah he was. I can't wait to see him pitch game 1. 201970 Me either. I look forward to it because he seems to be all business. I hope he stays healthy. And to Clements22.... sorry for the RJ abbreviation.

millbank Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Randy did just fine in his press conference. About 25 minutes on stage answering questions , deal with the guy with camera yesterday and he did it sincerely and straight forward , that camera mans 15 minutes over. Really something how after that he met with media in one room one on one, then off to another room to answer print media , can imagine process to be most overwhelming for anyone. The images of just how tall he is compared to the others really stood out.
njsue Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Did you guys miss the big unit on letterman last night.
