I used to live near Buffalo so the rain doesn't bother me but believe it or not there are actually people who were born and raised here. They are not used to seeing rain in So Cal. Southern California has poor drainage so floods occur, roads are pretty much concrete so their isn't much traction, the hills don't have trees on them so you get mudslides.
