I'm not a scientist or doctor, but I'm pretty sure squamous cells are a broad category of cells within the head and neck and that what Jim has is cancer of the jaw bone, not cancer of the skin as this link suggests. But I will defer to my more learned TSW associates.

 

Also, before the haters swoop in again, all good vibes and well wishes currently being broadcast toward WNY for a speedy recovery. Get well soon, Jimbo!

You're probably correct. I didn't do too much looking. Seems more serious if it's in the bone.

Best wishes, Jimbo. At least it sounds like the prognosis is good. Now I'll depart before the hate-fest resumes.
