CowgirlsFan Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Ommegang brewery makes some very good beer. Cooperstown NY. Agreed!! Took their tour in 99 when we came to see Nolan Ryan be inducted to the Hall of Fame. Parked there and road those school buses down to the Hall too!
Gugny Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 This is the new place in Queensbury. Check out the photos and the comments and it will show you the selections (on tap) and the growler prices. They also sell Oscar's meats, which are of local legend. I will likely bring some meat AND some beer from here to the home opener. https://www.facebook.com/HopsandBarleyMarket

BringBackFergy Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 http://technabob.com...gue-beard-beer/ WTF?? Next they'll be selling canisters of John's toe jam for focaccia spread...pairs well with his beard yeast. This is the new place in Queensbury. I have always wanted to buy growlers (saw them at Minogues on Quaker)... this gives me a reason to step up and buy one.
plenzmd1 Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 http://technabob.com...gue-beard-beer/ So have had these two recently..both acceptable as session beers. This IPA http://foundersbrewing.com/our-beer/all-day-ipa/?av-submitted=true and this Saison http://www.victorybeer.com/beers/swing/ Neither would be a first choice for a beer or two, but when planning on having 4 or more, both good options!

I had that All Day IPA...it was nice. Had a decent hoppy flavor.
The Poojer Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 funny you mention these 2...being in Victory's backyard, I have been consuming an awful lot of Swing, i try to not have the same beer in one sitting, these 2 and a small handful of others are exceptions. The All Day I tried for the first time while standing in line for a Pliny the Younger tasting, i REALLY enjoy that one. So have had these two recently..both acceptable as session beers. Dante Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Lagunitas is one of my favorite. And Sam Adams has a number of beers I enjoy. Lagunitas Censored is my favorite right now. Love this beer and it has a hearty 6.72 plus alcohol for efficiency. But my favorite aspect is it's so very subtle sweet taste in the background.

Dante Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 6.72 ABV? Pfffft. Whimp. http://www.dogfish.c...anto-marron.htm I'll have to give that a shot. I know 6.72 isn't that heavy but pretty respectable. They make Maximus which is almost 9 % but I'm not crazy about IPA's. I was at Wiedmer's Brewery in Portland last year and had this beer and I couldn't believe how smooth it was. At least considering the ABV. Love the name as well. http://widmerbrothers.com/beer/#old-embalmer-12

I get through two and I'm thinking "why am I so buzzed."
