The game also could be moving. The NFL official said the league will have an announcement in the coming days about future locations for the game, and it's possible it could move from Hawaii and rotate to different sites. The source said the NFL is considering breaking up the compensation structure for the game by halves, or even by quarters, in order to ratchet up the in-game intensity. The league also is considering adding two-minute warnings to end of the first and third quarters, to produce games within the game to create tangible rewards in making every play more important. Rewards for big plays also are a possibility. The "draft" concept -- which the NHL once used in its all-star game -- is "not a done deal," according to the source, but it's closer to being implemented than the other elements. The league is considering having captains select teams and is working on the mechanics of the proposed change, which would include the timing of the draft, the opportunity to televise the draft, uniforms, team names and rules. The league has a working group that will deal with those details later this week, after the meetings in Phoenix are over.

Just brin back the skills competition for positions and skill. Those where always more entertaining than the game themselves.

Why don't they move the Pro Bowl to May...the Sunday of draft weekend?

haha..people would be hungry for any football. Even if it was the Pro Bowl. Too bad none of the players in shape.

how about all the pro bowl players participate in a steel cage elimination match. that would be a heck of a lot more interesting!

The only change that makes sense is to kill it once and for all.

Of course, i'd miss all the entertaining "how to fix the pro bowl" threads during Super Bowl week.

Make it like the old Superstars show; weightlifting, obstacle courses, sprints, and outrigger canoe races in the ocean.

This is the reason I miss the days when athletes (and celebrities in general) made modest salaries. They went on shows like Superstars (or game shows like $25,000 Pyramid) to win the cash because that $10K was real money. There's just no possible way you could ever motivate guys to go all out in that kind of competition (or the Pro Bowl) any longer.

Such a waste. Nobody watches the Pro Bowl. Nobody actually plays in the Pro Bowl. And nobody cares about the Pro Bowl. The only reason why the players even go is because its a trip to Hawaii.

Like someone else said, just give them a trip to Hawaii and call it a day.

Moving it to just before the Superbowl was a joke, guaranteeing any players on the Superbowl teams will sit out, and, yeah, when you basically have to bribe players to put on a good show, you might as well forget the whole thing.
