San Jose Bills Fan
Good career move for him, both inside and outside of football. This can only help his chances of getting one more last chance in the NFL.

jaybee
Does he know what "Education" jobs pay? I wonder if he has any Student Loan(s)? We read about players like Titus Young.....and a host of others in deep trouble with the law. Vince goes out and finishes his college degree....like a good man would do. And....you say something negative like this. You sir, are pathetic. Good on Vince for getting his degree. He done proud. Hard to know what ever happened to Vince's career. He showed a lot of promise early on. Appeared to have all the physical tools in the box. I wonder what the rest of the story is...... Getting cut by Philly and Buffalo and all. Whatever the case I wish him well.
truth on hold
Too bad he didnt have it last year. Could have "educated" Nix and Gailey what a good QB looks like. He was the best on the roster in pre-season
#34fan
Yah, he really disappointed alot of haters with this move. Dozens chime-in when something scandalous happens, but let him do something positive, and we're up to what? -Eight replies? Way to go, Humanity! Congrats Vince... I criticized you in the past, but I hope you end up winning out... Stay on the path, big guy! Edited May 18, 2013 by #34fan

Seriously with all the negative stuff that gets passed around the media someone does something good for themselves and their future and people wanna invoke sarcasm to tear down their character. Ridiculous Perhaps they are jealous because they needed to pay someone to take their GED exams? Congratulations to Vince Young for finishing his degree. Nanker
One has to wonder if this contributed to his lack of picking up Chan's offense quickly. I'm not knocking him. I got my first degree later in life than he did, and I know what it's like to do two full time jobs - college and work. It ain't easy. Cudos to him for having the stuff to gut it out and get that credential. It won't mean a lot to him with respect to future employment, but it's an individual accomplishment that I'm sure he values highly.

Way to go, Vince, it's always a proud moment to complete a degree and no one can ever take that away! I doubt he was trying to complete coursework whilst trying out for the Bills. If anything was a distraction it would be being dunned for his payday loan and his lawsuit against his former ?agent ?"financial advisor". I hope all that works out OK for him. Being rooked by someone you trusted has to feel awful and I have no doubt he did receive putrid advice from people bent upon enriching themselves on his arm. The gouge on VY seemed consistently to be $100million arm and $100.00 head. I expect finishing his degree may have more effect on future employment than you might think. Showing the discipline to finish his degree would be viewed as a positive by a team that might take a chance on him, and if he can't find a chance to play but wants to stay in football, most coaching jobs likely expect a degree as a prerequisite. It can't hurt and could only help him
