duey Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 Oops...looks like he's already having a tough time with the crush of the New York media. http://wcbs880.com/topstories/topstoriesny..._010111516.html And everyone's worried about Beltan?!?!
Mike32282 Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 Apparently The Big Unit doesn't like to be bothered. Boy, did he pick the wrong place to come if that's the case.
duey Posted January 10, 2005 Author Posted January 10, 2005 Yeah, and wait until the results of his urine analysis make the front page of the Daily News.
Mike32282 Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 Yeah, and wait until the results of his urine analysis make the front page of the Daily News. 200562 All I care about is seeing him put on the Yankees pinstripes at the PC tomorrow.
Mike32282 Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 I would love to see him fail the physical... 200569 :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
BF_in_Indiana Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 He'll be fine, the Yankees are better for having him on their team.
duey Posted January 10, 2005 Author Posted January 10, 2005 He'll be fine, the Yankees are better for having him on their team. 200582 Of course, but is he better for being in NY? Arizona sure is a quiet little town compared to the Big Apple.

I think he'll be fine.
Ray Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 He'll be fine. Once he starts pitching and pitching well he'll be a media darling. 1.04 ERA in the World Series and 3-0 record--not too bad.
KD in CA Posted January 10, 2005 Posted January 10, 2005 He'll be fine. Once he starts pitching and pitching well he'll be a media darling. 1.04 ERA in the World Series and 3-0 record--not too bad. 200662 Conversely, should he get off to a slow start or get injured, he will not react very well to the media pressure. That WS was 4 seasons ago.
LabattBlue Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Maybe the Big Unit should hook up with Chad Pennington who is a master at dealing with the NYC media!
