Virgil Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Moved into my house last year and the lawn is finally coming in. On the back of my house, I have there two A/C units, some gravel behind the garage back door, and some gravel next to my porch steps. My wife also has a mini 2'x2' garden. From a mowing aspect, I want to guard that area off. My thoughts were to put a brick liner around everything and then filling it with stone. My wife isn't a fan. Anyone have a passion for this stuff that can lend some thoughts?
dhg Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 I would suggest going with paving stone. You could go from the back door, around the AC units, then on to the patio steps. Relatively inexpensive and pretty easy to do yourself. Let your wife pick out the color and pattern and it's a win-win.

boyst Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Agree with the pavers. They will also serve as an extended deck like area. You can always go back and plant a hedgeline - I suggest blueberries.
