Chef Jim
Reminds me of when I was about 7, my older brother took me to the Fair and I spent $20 (lot of money for a 7yr old in the 60's). My mother was so pi$$ed at my brother and I ..Until I showed her the gold painted pig on a necklace I won from the crane game. I learned my lesson about wasting money at carnival games that day. My mother kept that pig and would occasionaly bring it out and show it to me for a laugh. LOL That is almost what happend to me. I lost $20 of my paper route money when I was 12 playing poker. My brother told my mother and she was also pissed. I've had an aversion to gambling ever since.

When I was a teenager I watched some idiot lose his whole paycheck to a 3-card monte shark on the train. I learned a valuable lesson on someone else's dime. And if you think what I do is the same you'd be way off.

Taught me a valuable lesson - Don't bet on the Bills Wow, you did start early! Born day 1, Roth IRA day 2. Nicely played! 25 years. autocorrect... Just Jack
I've had an aversion to gambling ever since. All I need to do is walk the floor at the casino I'm working at, and see the people keep hitting that "spin" button at $2/time, several times in one minute, to keep me from gambling. That whole slots thing is quite depressing if you ask me. I'm an early riser and I've walked through a casino at 6 or 7 am and see them there and walk through later in the day and they're still at it. I'm way too fidgetty for that.
