SBUffalo
Reformat... Also, you don't draft a QB in the first round and make him a third stringer. He's the backup at worst INSTANTLY. Aaron Williams doesn't step in as a starting safety instantly. Duke Williams and Da'Norris Searcy will fight for the starting SS spot. I strongly suspect Travaris won't be on the final roster - he and the loser of Tuel/Corp will be gone. Manuel will be 2nd string. Winner of Tuel/Corp with be 3rd. San Jose Bills Fan
I believe that the roster limit is 90 players. If the Bills are at 93 players wouldn't that force them to make 3 cuts?

I expect the nickel role will have its own starter, with someone like Duke Williams being the potential backup at both safety and nickel back; I also expect Aaron Williams and Ron Brooks to backup both positions. ChanOverChin
Here's the updated roster as of 4-29-13. Where are we strong and where are we weak?? Compared to last year: QB: Greatly improved RB: Same FB: Same. Hungary Summers/Gaskins might improve the position. TE: A tiny bit better. Need help. WR: Greatly improved by adding Woods/Goodwin/D. Rogers. O-line: Same. Could still use the vet B. Moore. K: Possibly better P: Same LS: Same D-line: Improved with additon of Branch/Troup/Gilbert DE/OLB: Improved with addition of Lawson ILB: Improved with addition of Alonzo. Could still use the vet Dansby. CB: Same. Need help. Very surprised this position was not addressed in the draft. SS: Improved with addition of D. Williams and switch of A. Williams from CB to SS. FS: Improved with addition of J. Meeks. Byrd must be resigned of course. Recommend that Bills shore up their O-line and LB corps with addition of OG B. Moore and ILB/OLB K. Dansby. Biggest need may be at CB where the Bills could use the addition of at least one vet CB. Maybe one of the UDFA CBs will prove to be worthy. The TE position is very weak if Chandler can't go to start the season. With Chandler/L. Smith/Gragg/Dickerson it's not a bad group, but the addition of a solid vet TE certainly wouldn't hurt. Pos. Sanborn It's a bit tough to look at and evaluate because some guys - especially at OL and CB, and to a lesser extent WR - would be expected to fill a couple of depth roles. Cornerback still looks like a need to me. Precious little depth and lots of hope that Brooks can be that 3rd CB who is on the field a lot in this defense. The safeties look stacked if these draft prospects turn out to be anything and Byrd returns. Less so if not. TEs are OK but not really good. LBs - are going to be so hard to evaluate until we see how Pettine uses them. I feel like they can't possibly be as bad as they looked in Wannstedt's defense, but could they really be a whole lot better?

RuntheDamnBall
We cutting SJ13? No. It's a depth-chart lineup from sideline to sideline. Same with the defensive backs...

RuntheDamnBall
Oh I see what you did there.... Still confusing. It was confusing to me, too, at first. I just copied-and-pasted the OP's graf at the end for readability. I think it's originally copy-pasted from BB.com, where the depth chart also reads like this. But that also speaks to my point that in the final depth chart you'll see the same name manning a few reserve positions - not one per, as it is here. Jeah its a bit of a wierd depth chart, more like a roster spread to depth chart based on primary positions.

He was in safety slot because they needed him there in college.
