26CornerBlitz Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 @AdamSchefter Jets had granted Tim Tebow permission this off-season to seek a trade. More than one team asked if were willing to play TE, but he was not.
truth on hold Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I don't think another nfl team gives him a shot. Upside doesn't justify media circus. Jets really screwed him over, brought him in for media to sell tickets and never gave him a legit role or chance to start. Feel bad for the guy. Jets are a bad franchise the way they treat people.

To your point: @USATODAY Why Tim Tebow still probably won't make an NFL roster in 2013: http://usat.ly/11QeYcA
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 btw - i broke this news first in the shoutbox If a tree falls in the woods…. Whoa, new avatar. And I agree. eball has a new avatar? Wow. That's like the end of Cal Ripken's streak. How do you retire the best avatar ever?

Kipers Hair Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 This will decimate the Jet's punt protection formation....looking for a ton of blocks this year....

bladiebla Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Mods can delete or merge as deemed appropriate. Yes they can!
Homey D. Clown Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Can he catch, can he block, can he run patterns......has he ever played TE before.......? Why not try him at SS...LB....G? Do you not understand the phrase "try out"? Or were you just being an !@#$?
K-9 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Truth be told Tebow never did get a fair chance ANYWHERES in the NFL. That's too bad, much lesser talent got more of a break than him (*see JP Losman, Trent Edwards and others from around the league). Btw-I first broke wind in my office when I read this news. Huh? 1st round draft pick, starter for a playoff team and he didn't get a fair shot? He got way more than his ability as a passer should allow. There's a lot to like about the kid, but he's just not ready for prime time as an NFL QB. GO BILLS!!!

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Tebow should be signed some place where there is an established vet QB presence--like maybe New England. The patriots could turn him into a decent back-up and probably use him effectively as an H-back, and there would never be a controversy over whether he should start at QB.

Uh have to disagree. Not only did he get a shot, but the Broncos changed their entire offensive system 6 weeks into the season to suit his strengths of well, running the ball.

8-8 Forever? Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 We should try him out as a tight end.... love this idea
l< j Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 On the TSW scale, to me he is much closer to 'ground up and in the freezer' then 'get 'r done'.
RuntheDamnBall Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 For a "character" player he is pretty prideful. He's either going to have to accept that no one in the NFL views him as a QB, or that he'll need to go prove himself in the CFL to demonstrate that he can play the position. The problem is that the years are not going to be kind to his brand of play as he ages, and then all you're left with is a really goofy throwing motion and faith.
PromoTheRobot Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I would thank Tebow if Tebow signed with the Pats* PTR
metzelaars_lives Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 love this idea Funny that the two people who think that Tim Tebow could be a tight end in this league are a clown and "8 and 8 forever."
