The Big Cat Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Having just added five receivers to the roster, is the entire unit, Stevie included, primed for a makeover? I think it IS safe to say B.Smith has some work to do, but the guys we just brought in (fast/tough/aggressive) are so different from Stevie, I wonder if Marrone/Hackett value the skills Stevie brings.
Kelly the Dog Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 The better question may be, are you criminally insane?
buffaloboyinATL Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 (edited) IMO, very safe. Moulds and Peerless Price were much better when they were together. These new receivers are an absolute compliment to Stevie who has been one of the few shinng stars in an otherwise dark sky. Safe and hopefully even stronger with no more constant double covers. uncle flap Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Maaaaaaybe, in the long run Stevie could have something to worry about, but the odds of all of those receivers making him expendable any time soon are infinitesimal. I don't think you're giving Stevie enough credit. He may not be a top 5 or even 10 WR in the NFL, but he's certainly no slouch. If he were to be released today, I would suspect 31 other teams would put a waiver claim in for him.
NoSaint Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 He might not be in the 5-7 year plan but he's safe for atleast a few years. No question
