OldTimer1960 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) One of the PAC-10 coaches (think he is the Stanford coach) is on NFLN now and he really was very positive on the Bills' draft. He was very high on Robert Woods and Kiko Alonso. He thinks that Alonso could be a Pro Bowler and that Woods will make big plays regardless of his lack of dynamic speed. TC in St. Louis Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 We don't need a pro bowler. We need a pro football player.
White Linen Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 We don't need a pro bowler. We need a pro football player. Aren't pro bowlers pro football players?
Kelly the Dog Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Aren't pro bowlers pro football players? According to my sources, usually pretty good ones.
Malazan Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Aren't pro bowlers pro football players? I thought so too
4merper4mer Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Aren't pro bowlers pro football players? Mark Roth wasn't.
DC Tom Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 We don't need a pro bowler. We need a pro football player. Well, I thought it was amusing.
jrb2590 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 oh boy, the man was joking around saying we need a pro football player instead of a pro BOWLER. you know, PBA, bowling...balls and pins, strikes and spares.

Chandler#81 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Our new D should be kegglers while we sip the draft of our Draft. Set 'em up, drink 'em and knock 'em down!
Green Lightning Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Well, I thought it was amusing. In a 7-10 split kinda way.
zow2 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Well I'm drinking the Kool aid. Great looking draft. Everyone can play for sure.
KeisterHollow Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) I don't think any of us (except for Astro) could have mocked a much better draft! We got 3-4 starters out of this draft, and all of the picks look like they'll be used, whereas in past years it seemed like a lot of the later picks came in and left before we even got their names down. I came away from the draft with a little more insight into our Coordinators thoughts on the roster, too. Pettine must have been a lot higher on the LB corps than I would have thought - and a lot less thrilled with the Safety group. And, they must truly think McKelvin or Brooks is capable of being a good starter, unless Pettine thinks the Safeties will be far more important than the CB's. Either way - if he was worried about the LB'ers or CB's we would have seen a draft that reflected that. That is comforting to know. I was a little worried that Pettine would feel he needed to add a player or two to both the D-line and the CB positions. As much as I like the potential of our offense, and even though it was the better unit last year, I think the defense is going to be the strength of this team this year. And I'm really psyched to see what Hackett and Marrone have in mind for this offense! With the speed we have, and a QB who - as Nix pointed out - has a cannon for an arm, we should really put defenses in a tough spot. AGHHH - I've drank the Kool Aid, again! NickelCity Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Who better than the football coach at the best university in the world to give his opinion on our draft? http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Evaluating-Buffalo-Bills-draft/a3846487-6d30-4813-8679-488a74cfd27f
playman Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 knock it back, and have another one. drinking and drafting is so much fun........... ( very free after " the 4skins " )
The Bunk Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 The Alonso pick has gotten lots of praise. One scout was quoted as saying every time he watched Oregon tape to check out Dion Jordan his eyes took him to Kiko Alonso. Maybe we found ourselves a real good LB
Mr_Blizzard Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 I hope you're right. Our defense needs a lot of help..
Mango Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 According to my sources, usually pretty good ones. Link?
