MDH Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Not to rain on this parade, but I think E.J. Manual will be a bust and we will be drafting another QB in three years after Kolb plays one year and Manual gets two years to prove he is a bust. I watched him play at Florida State and he is not a starter in the NFL. Well hell, with credentials like that why aren't you employed as an NFL scout? The bottom line is that NOBODY knows which QB in any given draft will end up being a success (with the exception of Luck where everybody knew it.) There are guys touted as "can't miss" yet they miss and guys like Russell Wilson who gets overlooked until round 3 who burst onto the scene in year one. It's a crap shoot and I - for one - am happy the Bills finally rolled the dice. Sure, EJ might fail but at least they tried to find the answer. If he fails try rolling the dice again in a few years and keep rolling until they find their QB. The only way to ensure that they never find him is to never take that chance. They targeted a guy who they think can succeed. I'll take any GM or scout's opinion over some random internet guy who "saw him play."
