GG Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 How big of an impact do 4th receivers make? Exactly, so why waste a 3rd round pick on one?
BILLS 4 EVER Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Somebody needs to tell Nix that the 3rd round still has plenty of talent, because he's the worst GM I've ever seen in the 3rd. So true. We have other needs and just got Graham to do this job. So we load up on speed but what about the O-Line. Anyone think we may try to sign Brandon Moore from the Jesters.
major Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Goodwin is legit. You all will be singing his praises by the end of the season. Johnson, woods, and Goodwin-oh my!!!!!!
section122 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Receiving corp now has a second rounder, 2 third rounders, a fourth rounder, and Stevie. It has 2 speed guys 2 possession guys and Easley (hybrid). It looks much better than it did in early march for sure!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I thought we were looking for more polished receivers. Receiver is the toughest learning curve. Even if this guy produces, probably won't be for another 3 years.
boyst Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 How big of an impact do 4th receivers make? Look at the Giants a few years back. Cruz, Manningham, Nicks, with Hixon and Clayton on IR.
swnybillsfan Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 How big of an impact do 4th receivers make? did you see what cj spiller did with screen passes last year? now picture that but smaller and faster. i'll let you borrow my delusionally optimistic kool aid goggles if you're having trouble seeing it.
filthymcnasty08 Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 OK...we have a good 4x400 team now. +1 HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Virgil Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Either way, this is a sign of a bad pick. If he is better than TJ, then we wasted that pick last year. If he's the same or worse, then we wasted a pick in the 3rd that could have been a starter. Also, and I know this will sound like a broken record, but Nix even said that they are excited to have a healthy Easley this year with a full off-season. This was a terrible pick and could have been on a G or CB, someone who we need and can contribute
boyst Posted April 27, 2013 Author Posted April 27, 2013 Ok, back to the KGun. I will have to think about this more. If the idea is bring in fresh legs to be fast and keep us attacking down the field then I am confused. We cannot rotate these WR's in every 2 or 3 plays if we are driving the no-huddle. OBD must have plans we do not know...
Joe Miner Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Count me out on this pick. I don't know what a WR is that doesn't catch the ball.
KOKBILLS Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Receiving corp now has a second rounder, 2 third rounders, a fourth rounder, and Stevie. It has 2 speed guys 2 possession guys and Easley (hybrid). It looks much better than it did in early march for sure! No question about it...Need addressed for sure...
Saint Doug Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Was another WR really needed? Seems like a luxury kinda pick to me. I would have gone OL or DB.
inkman Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Look at the Giants a few years back. Cruz, Manningham, Nicks, with Hixon and Clayton on IR. So this pick was made anticipating the Bills top 5 WR are on IR? That's some forward thinking.
San-O Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Buddy drafting track stars again. Man. Starting to seem like he's Al Davis or something. Either way, this is a sign of a bad pick. If he is better than TJ, then we wasted that pick last year. If he's the same or worse, then we wasted a pick in the 3rd that could have been a starter. Also, and I know this will sound like a broken record, but Nix even said that they are excited to have a healthy Easley this year with a full off-season. This was a terrible pick and could have been on a G or CB, someone who we need and can contribute + 1
BRH Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Redundant. We needed a tall basketball player type receiver that can go up and get the ball. Don't like this pick Like James Hardy?
jcbillsfan Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Great pick. Cj tj this guy. Woods with great hands. Stevie with great moves This is going to be fun
Kelly the Dog Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I don't really like this pick either. But I'm excited to see what Hackett and Marrone cook up for us on the offense. It could be fun to watch if they use all the little pieces well.
1B4IDie Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Didnt we make this same pick last year. I hate this pick. I also hated and still hat the TJ pick. Total Crap. Take Demontre Moore and use him in hybrid fronts.
