Optometric Insight Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Maybe its a cover up and meant to throw us off their scent... But really, im not even sure why those myths were started. Maybe Just some paranoid people or speculation but it just seems that the front office wait till everything is perfect to make a move.

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 #1 -- Buddy Nix will "never" trade down I still think trading down almost killed him. Sounded like he had the chance to move back again from 16, and couldn't stomach the risk.
Chandler#81 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Ralph Wilson refuses to have a black QB. Anyone who said this is too young to remember James Harris.
RJ (not THAT RJ) Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 James Harris's departure was all on Lou Saban. Ask Marlon Briscoe about Saban's treatment of black QBs.
NoSaint Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I still think trading down almost killed him. Sounded like he had the chance to move back again from 16, and couldn't stomach the risk. if they had him #1 with a large gap to #2 im glad they didnt risk it. if they have 3-4 guys equal, thats when you entertain that offer.
nucci Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 James Harris's departure was all on Lou Saban. Ask Marlon Briscoe about Saban's treatment of black QBs. May be true but Briscoe was not a big fan of Saban.

I think it also depends how far back they were moving and the other teams in the mix for a QB. If they could have moved from #16 to #21, none of the other teams in between were going to draft a QB (though I guess someone could have traded up).
Captain Hindsight Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I still think trading down almost killed him. Sounded like he had the chance to move back again from 16, and couldn't stomach the risk. They picked up two picks including a 2nd and the 7th that people have been grinding their teeth over since August. We got a good deal
thurst44 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 MitchMurrydowntown has inside info But he does have the GlenGarry leads, and those are GOLD!
Storm Front Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Ralph Wilson refuses to have a black QB. That's ridiculous. The Bills were one of the first teams to sign an African American QB.
ChevyVanMiller Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Bills will only draft players with the initial "J" in their name for the offense - no wait, scratch that one.
mrags Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 That's ridiculous. The Bills were one of the first teams to sign an African American QB. the first if I recall
silvermike Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 That's ridiculous. The Bills were one of the first teams to sign an African American QB. Myths have a way of not being true or accurate.
papazoid Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Myth: Buddy is asleep 2010 - c j spiller 2011 - dareus 2012 - gilmore 2013 - e j manuel
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 They picked up two picks including a 2nd and the 7th that people have been grinding their teeth over since August. We got a good deal I concur completely. I am not complaining that we should have traded down again. My point only is that trading down isn't in Nix's DNA, but he did overcome that and make a good deal.
