Oh, hey, by the way...that whole "red line" thing from the President of the United States? Totally off the cuff. Unscripted. And you didn't understand him.

What he meant was, like, if a lot of people died from chemical weapsons, not a few. Totally a dropped nuance.

From the NYT: http://www.nytimes.c...spot.html?_r=1

Jeez, you guys. Can't you take a joke?

Mr. Obama was thinking of a chemical attack that would cause mass fatalities, not relatively small-scale episodes like those now being investigated, except the “nuance got completely dropped."

Kind of like how almost 20 years ago against 'genocide,' but not 'genocide-like activities'.

No wonder the world hates us.

This may end up being a bigger headache for Obama than the "Red Line". He can write the Red Line off as a teleprompter malfunction and nobody will notice because nobody expects this Administration to ever really back up what they say.

So now the Administration hsa to decide whether to stand by Israel or take Syria's side. Maybe Obama can invite Assad and Netanyahu to the White House for a beer summit?

That's the thing about Israel. They don't !@#$ around. If they detect a threat, there is no margin for error.

I read an article earlier today commenting on the fact that the US stating it "believes" Israel hit Syria says everything you need to know about how much Israel respects Obama.

Nice work the people we're supporting over there (NSFW unless you work at the State Department and want to see the benefactors of our support)

Syria rebel cuts out soldier's heart and eats it

How else do you expect him to take his enemy's strength and make it his own? C'mon man.

Let those !@#$ers fend for themselves. If someone wants to intervene, fine, allow Europe or Turkey to do it, but we should play virtually no role other than a humanitarian one.

John McCain is demanding a no fly zone be established so this brave freedom fighter can enjoy his lunch in peace

Let me guess: your man Assad speaks Farsi and is simply misunderstood.

Farsi is the official Mormon language. BTW, how's uncle Geno?

I'd wager to say JTSP would side with Assad LONG before he would side with McCain.

Well...unlike "McCain", "Assad" and "Huntsman" both have an "s" in them...

yeah because when US gets involved the outcomes are just rosy .... like today's news from Iraq

Officials in Iraq say at least 60 people have been killed in sectarian attacks on the deadliest day there for months.

Like I said, there will always be people like you who cheer an Assad over a McCain. Why bother killing bad people from other countries when there are so many good people you can gas in your own backyard, ammiright? I think we all agree that this is your preference.

Still, you're link is interesting because while you disappear every time you're reminded of this, you DID insist that if the US gets out of S.Korea, then North and South Korea will peacefully unite on their own. According to your logic, Iraq should be peaceful now that the US is basically out. I guess North Korea is different because unlike Iraq, they WANT to have peaceful unity.

I cheer america focusing on america and not on foreign wars and special interests. Has nothing to do with assad. Is that something you'll ever be able to comprehend?

Its up to other countries to figure out their own s#@t. Vietnam reconciled after we left, have been completely at peace for decades. Low and behold they also have complete normalized diplomatic relations with us. Every reason to expect korea would do the same. And if you had any clue about Asia youd know China only supports n Korea because we support south. If middle east Muslim countries want to keep fighting the millennium old sunni Shiite rift that's their business. To think us can go in and nation build and figure it our for them is gravely mistaken. Iraq is an example of that.
