judman Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I've been looking forward to the Falcons @ Bills game this year b/c a friend of mine is a big ATL fan. We have both looked forward to attending this game for like 2 years... and now it's in Toronto. I can't do a Toronto game. But with his team is this close, he's all over it. Any suggestions from those who have gone would be appreciated. Good spots to stay, seating suggestions, tix purchasing suggestions, pregame/tailgating options, etc. Thanks in advance for your help.
Just Jack Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I've stayed downtown, walking distance, so I would only need to drive to the hotel, no trying to find parking on game day.... InterContinental Toronto Centre Hotel (this was where the Bills stayed the year they played the Jets) I can't remember the other one I stayed at, it was a Holiday Inn at the time, but has changed brands. There's also the Marriot attached to Rogers Centre... http://www.renaissan...CFa5QOgodzjoAPw For tickets, just say screw it, and get seats in the Sightlines Restaurant... http://www.rogerscen...s_sitelines.jsp The year I did it, it was $250/Canadian, alcoholic drinks were extra. You're sitting above one of the endzones. Worth it if this would be one of the few times your buddy will be up there. And it's a restaurant, so reserve your spot with a credit card, but they don't charge until the day of the event. Tailgating? What tailgating?
PromoTheRobot Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 From Rogers Centre walk up Blue Jays Way to Wayne Gretzky's. From there you can get to John, King Adelaide and Richmond Streets. Nice club and restaurant district there. All within blocks of the stadium. I've eaten at Milestones on John, near Richmond. Decent. PTR
thebug Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I got a package deal from this Toronto tourism site last year http://www.seetorontonow.com Got 2 tickets on the 200 level and a night in a hotel (walking distance) for 250.00 total. They don't have anything listed right now, but they will. I like to go to the loose Moose while there. http://www.theloosemoose.ca Love their burgers.... There is an outdoor tailgate party with a live band around the back of the stadium with a beer tent etc.
HailMary Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Thompson Hotel with great dining options in King West.
