ajzepp Posted January 9, 2005 Share Posted January 9, 2005 In an interview that aired on NFL Network last night, he said he was glad to be facing the Green Bay Packers because it was a team they were familiar with. The part that got me, though, was when he referred to the Packers as "the team that cost us the division championship." I'm sorry, but that is an absolutely pathetic statement........Hey, Mike....was it the Packers that cost you the division title, or was it the fact that you and the VIKINGS didn't get the job done? You don't EVER make your team out to be at the mercy of another team. You lost because YOUR team did not win the game. In the NFL, the good teams go out and TAKE what they want. As a head coach, you should be empowering your team - especially when you are about to face the same exact team in playoff game. Tice is a lousy excuse for a head coach......Go Pack!
