Mr. WEO Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 So the theory is that the reason teams beat the Bills year in and year out is because they have more time to prepare for....the Bills?
stinky finger Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 So the theory is that the reason teams beat the Bills year in and year out is because they have more time to prepare for....the Bills? Pwease.......get Weo.
White Linen Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 So the theory is that the reason teams beat the Bills year in and year out is because they have more time to prepare for....the Bills? Good god man stop being so overly dramatic. It's a fact we are playing more teams this year coming off bye's and Thursday night games.
NeverOutNick Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I can't remember the amount of games but I do remember the same thing happening last year with over 4 games being this way...Schedulers definitely don't like the Bills. If I were at OBD I'd bring this up to the league office
boyst Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Big Cat, Buffalo faces 7 teams, actually, because even though we have a bye, Atlanta does, too... and that still counts.
Thurmal34 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 So the theory is that the reason teams beat the Bills year in and year out is because they have more time to prepare for....the Bills? Who theorized that? Last I checked, folks were simply commenting on the schedule.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Mini-bar or a full bar? We're Bills fans. Full bar all the way.
The Big Cat Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Big Cat, Buffalo faces 7 teams, actually, because even though we have a bye, Atlanta does, too... and that still counts. Pretty sure Atlanta makes six...
poo Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 http://nflfilms.nfl....bye-week-blues/ nice chart explaining that winning after a bye week is not even close to a guarantee. Would like to point out the bell curve on this page (scroll down a bit) that shows that teams coming off a bye week have an increased chance of victory, 54.2% on a ten year sample size that ended in 2011. I am not sure I got your point as, while that is no guarantee, but a 5% added chance of losing per game with a team coming off a bye seems significant over the course of a season.
The Big Cat Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Pretty sure Atlanta makes six... Should be 3 & 3
rafter Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 I suppose we can't have everything. I imagine Russ mentioned to the schedule committee that we would prefer less late season home games. There's only so many ways to cut up a schedule.
boyst Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Pretty sure Atlanta makes six... If you looked at Atlanta's schedule - Week 12 - Atlanta / New Orleans @ Atlanta, November 21st, Thursday night. Week 13 Buffalo / Atlanta @ Buffalo, December 1st, Sunday. So, we face 7 teams we added preparation. Of course, had you read my post on the schedule discussion board, you'd have seen that. But, your chart goes above and beyond what I did, it's amazing, actually. source: http://www.nfl.com/schedules/2013/REG12
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Dude, Scott should hire you to dress this place up a bit. Great work.

Dude, Scott should hire you to dress this place up a bit. Great work. Ha, thanks. Visuals make things so much easier!!
boyst Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Okay. Now I'm confused because I was counting Atlanta...? Kept counting Cinci as a game against us for a bye week. I didn't pay attention enough to remember the schedule. I am going to put on my dunce cap and sit in the corner...

Justice Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 How about 3 out of 4 games on the road, not once, but twice?
NoSaint Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 http://nflfilms.nfl.com/2011/10/30/numbers-game-bye-week-blues/ nice chart explaining that winning after a bye week is not even close to a guarantee. I was going to say- some teams struggle when they lose the normal routine.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Bills got screwed on schedule. They play 6 teams coming off a mini or full bye and a tough schedule, Greasing the wheels to drafting Manziel New England=Zero. CONSPIRACY !!!
