But to answer your question, IIRC that only applies to people who file their return to the IRS Center in Andover, MA. I don't know if it applies to e-filing though; I haven't filed a tax return via snail mail in many years.

It was based on the returns being filed to the Andover, MA service center, which is not the case anymore. Hence, no extra day.

 

I thought it had something to do with that - where did they move the return center to? Idiots!

 

And, yes I am a procrastinator!

Wherever the address is on the envelope.

 

Federal, e-filed and already recieved my refund (first time in years) back about 2 months ago. State I owed a whopping $27, that will be mailed out tonight.
