Just Jack
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/04/12/jets-could-unload-a-quarterback-as-part-of-revis-trade/ While poking around the question of whether the Jets could be trying to include quarterback-of-all-trades Tim Tebow in the package (which would keep the Jets from cutting Tebow and seeing him sign with the Patriots), we tripped over a previously unknown nugget. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the discussions between the Jets and Bucs have included the possibility of the Buccaneers assuming the contract of quarterback Mark Sanchez. CSBill
it would be a throw in, and only as a veteran backup
ALF
That would be the best trade the Jets ever made. I can't imagine Tampa doing that.
Arkady Renko
Despite how bad Sanchez has been lately, he always seemed to have career days against the Bills.
WhitewalkerInPhilly
I wonder if those were part of the terms? "Ok, you can have Revis, but you need to take Sanchez with you."
Coach Tuesday
Why are the Bucs so determined to help the Jets get better? Wtf is going on here?

Hapless Bills Fan
http://profootballta...of-revis-trade/ What exactly are the Jets supposed to get from the Bucs in trade?
San Jose Bills Fan
Well the Jets draft at #9 and it's looking more and more like they'll be part of the QB derby.
Captain Hindsight
What exactly are the Jets supposed to get from the Bucs in trade? Trading for Sanchez is essentially career suicide. I imagine the Jets offered all of them 5 million dollars a year for life to every executive and coach on that team to agree to something like
NoSaint
What exactly are the Jets supposed to get from the Bucs in trade? A first (allegedly already offered by bucs) and significantly more is still being asked for is the rumor (taking Sanchez could be the big extra) it would be a throw in, and only as a veteran backup It would have nothing to do with the player... It's essentially the bucs buying out his contract for the jets as a bonus to NY
Malazan
If the Bucs are taking on that albatross of a contract for the Jets, I hope they exact more than just Revis if they give up their first.
BuffaloFan68
Revis is over rated & having Sanchez as the Jets starting QB is our best shot of beating them.
truth on hold
How in the world can Tampa have cap space for this?
NoSaint
How in the world can Tampa have cap space for this? Because outside of Jackson, nicks and penn they have no real contracts on the books. They have a ton of room. You can also structure revis not to crush this years cap.
Mr. WEO
This goes to show how desperate the Jets are to get rid of Revis and how difficult it will be to trade him.
