SRivRoc
Ive been working the last week and after doing many mock drafts Ive decided to make one with the best possible trade down scenario. I really took into account many factors and gave us the best players at the best possible spots we could grab them. so, give me your feedback on how you'd like to see these players in a Bills uniform. Trade: Tampa Bay trades 1st (13), 3rd (73), and 4th (126) For Buffalo 1st (8) This trade is for the best on both teams. I believe Dee Milliner falls to our pick and Tampa desperately needs corner help. In this trade we move back a few spots but still sit poised to take a big playmaker that we desperately need. Here is the actual mock: Round 1, Pick 13- Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame- HT: 6’6” WT:250 As we have seen the league evolve the TE has become a much more important position for teams. Eifert gives us a huge vertical threat and although this is a bit of a surprise first round pick, he gives us a solid TE for years to come. We need offensive weapons and this is a start. Round 2, Pick 41- Kevin Minter, LB, LSU- HT: 6’2” WT:242 Our LB corp is pitiful and it is no doubt that we need to use a top pick on a new LB. Minter is one of the pre-draft visits to One Bills Drive and Buddy loves his southern players. Minter has fallen out of first round talks but I think if we could grab him in the second it could be a steal. Round 3, Pick 71- Matt Scott, QB, Arizona- HT: 6’2” WT:220 Everyone one is calling for a QB in this draft. To put it lightly, this QB class is one of the worst to come out in a few years and that takes away from the relatively strong class despite the QB position. That being said, Scott really intrigues me and I think he could be a good pickup for the players we already have on offense. I know he isn’t the name being thrown around here a lot but Scott definitely brings something to the table and should not be over looked. Round 3, Pick 73- Da’Rick Rogers, WR, Tenn. Tech- HT: 6’3” WT: 215 To put everything out there first, yes, Rogers was kicked off of Tennessee before the season for drug issues. Before that he was really blossoming into a big time receiver. At the start of the season he was projected to be the number one receiver on Tennessee in a very deep WR corp. Rogers is another One Bills Drive attendee and I think the FO could work around his behavioral issues and take the guy in the third. Round 4, Pick 108- Jordan Poyer, CB, Org. State- HT: 5’11” WT: 195 Poyer was first projected very high but the emergence of other CB’s has caused him to fall down the board. Poyer shows a tremendous ability to jump and play the ball in the air. I think he could be a perfect complement to the budding Gilmore to solidify our secondary. Poyer could develop into quite a pleasant surprise for the Bills in years to come. Roudn 4, Pick 126- Alvin Bailey, OG, Arkansas- HT: 6’5” WT: 320 Bailey is my solution to losing Levitre. Of course everyone here is upset at losing a very solid (but not elite) guard, but in reality we cannot pay a guard LT money. So we move on in the fourth round by picking up Bailey. Bailey played in the SEC and held his own against the top competition in college football. Round 5, Pick 143- Connor Vernon, WR, Duke- HT: 6’ WT: 195 I really like the way Vernon catches the ball. He uses his hands and rarely lets the ball come into his chest. Although he is not a burner he is quick in and out of cuts and runs god routes. Vernon can develop into a good 3 or 4 WR for us. He has a high level of maturity and was able to make the best of his opportunities on a sub-par college team. Round 6, Pick 177- Lavar Edwards, LB, LSU- HT: 6’4” WT: 277 We go back to another LB in the later rounds, and once again we go to LSU. Edwards would most likely play on the outside as a pass rusher. We need a ton of depth to run this new defense so that is why Edwards is the pick here. After the draft im always excited to see which UDFA’s we bring into camp. This year here are some names I would like to see us bring in: Alec Lemon, WR, Syracuse Marcus Sales, WR, Syracuse Mike Herrmann, QB, RPI Cooper Taylor, SS, Richmond …not too familiar with many possible UDFA’s but these guys caught my eye and I don’t believe they’ll be drafted. I hope you all find this helpful! I look forward to your feedback and opinions! GO BILLS!!! Super Bowl or Bust
CSBill
Great work, if it plays out like this, I would be very happy with this draft. Scott intrigues me, if we got him in the 3rd, I'd be elated.
Tsaikotic
looks good...don' think Bucs will have a 1st or 3rd come draft time tho...talks are now that Jets are trying to get Bucs to take both Revis and Sanchez...but who knows... Alec Lemon will be drafted in rd 5 - 6 IMO, not sure about Sales
gonzo1105
Whether Poyer is falling or not, he's not going round 4. He'll either be a 2nd or early 3rd rounder.

simpleman
Like your first three round picks, but they don't match up to who the Bills have brought in for visits. I would be very happy with your first three round picks though. Improvements right were we need them.
Cap'nCrunch
The common consensus that "this QB class is one of the worst to come out in a few years" paints all the prospects with a very large brush. As Buddy said, they each have strengths, and if there are only 2 in this class who might become franchise QBs with the right team and proper coaching, that would put us in line at 8 to potentially have one available to us, even if we traded down as you suggested. If Luck or RGIII were there, we'd obviously have to be drafting at 1 or 2. In 2014, we might have to be drafting in the top 2, 3 or 4 to get one of those top QBs people are already talking about in that draft. Your draft would be an exciting one if it happened that way...Eifert, Minter, Rogers, Vernon have all been talked about as playmakers. Just think at QB you have to "go all in" on a guy with a 1st round pick wherever that may be. It's that important in the NFL. I think there are going to be 2, maybe 3 guys who will be franchise QBs in this draft.

I like your point about the QB's I'm just so torn from all of them and it's very tough for me to pick one and say, "that's the guy" so hopefully we get the right guy wherever that may be. My mock featured many of the skill players I really like in this draft because this draft seems to be very deep.
Cap'nCrunch
Agreed. Some draft publications have stated that even though this draft may not have the star power at the very top of the draft, it is unusually deep with talent that may make it possible to get quality into the later rounds. Even though the Bills traded away only their last pick which hasn't turned into much since Buddy has been here (Stevie was a 7th rounder before him) it would be nice to drop down from 8 or 41 to pick up some extra picks. I hope you all find this helpful! I look forward to your feedback and opinions! GO BILLS!!! Super Bowl or Bust Actually I hear Matt Scott's name brought up a lot on WGR550 Radio...Like he's some darkhorse savior ie:Tom Brady like? I think he is a project player that may make a good backup. If the Bills passed up on Rob Gronkowski in a later stage of the draft when they still had the same need for depth and performance at the position...What makes you think they are going to use the 8th or 13th pick in the draft for a TE? I might consider it, but not Buddy boy!!! I think Buddy and his boys go after a LB, or CB and a little whisper within say's don't be surprised at an OT with their first pick and possibly move back into round 1 for a QB before pick 28.... I think the Bills will nab their WR or TE possibly in the 3rd round if they didn't trade that pick away?? I'm not opposed to your Mitner pick in the 2nd round provided he is still on the board, which I'm not so sure of? For being a draft that you crafted yourself in your dream scenario of sorts including trades and all..I feel that we could've done much better. I think Geno, Nassib, and Barkley are all better options than Scott, but I would not be opposed to drafting one of those 3 and snagging Scott in the third if we can fill some of our roster holes with free agents prior to the draft....I think in this draft in the first 2 rounds it needs to be a QB & WR in either order, and then get your CB, LB, TE, OG, etc.... We drafted heavy defense last year and really need to invest in our offense. Oh yeah, didn't we already have a player from Tennesee that had a drug problem, that fathered many kids, and was our running back that we got rid of to Denver? Why would we want to harbor another druggie on a squad with a lot of impressionable young players that lack a true leader? It's better to avoid these kind of bargain players. We got rid of Lynch and his mouth, guns, and his junk...we don't need a pacman jones type of player!!!! I really don't like this mock at all!!! yuck...so maybe this will be suitable to buddy as I usually don't like his draft neither!!!

Trade: Tampa Bay trades 1st (13), 3rd (73), and 4th (126) For Buffalo 1st (8) In THIS DRAFT, I seriously doubt anyone is gonna trade 4 picks to move 5 spots. Miami is talking about having the fire power to move up from 12 to 1. In other words, because the draft is so even at the top, why waste a lot moving up? If Tampa offered Buffalo the their 1st and 3rd, that might be enough. Perhaps it would need to be the 1st, 3rd and a 6th, but no way would it be 4 picks. JPS
If, IF Milliner drops to 8, it would be very good for Buffalo. Even if they take him, it wouldn't be my preference, but he's a top guy. How can Detroit pass on Milliner???
Bills Fan888
Is St. Louis an option? They have two first round picks at 16 and 22 and really want Tavon Austin. They may want to trade up with the Bills to grab him before the Jets or Bucs do.
Maddog69
nice job. That's a lot of work Personally, I'd rather have a QB in Rd1 (nassib/Barkley) and take a TE in Rd3
