Gugny Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Learning that little riff has made it to my bucket list. What a great show. Sit, Ubu, sit! Woof Good dog.
eSJayDee Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Sounds like a recorder. FWIW, the album liner (Touchdown) indicate numerous flutes, but only 1 recorder (George Marge). Unfortunately, the listing isn't song specific.
Beerball Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Is the Beginning of "Taxi" a Flute or a Recorder? Yes, it is.

bbb Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Taxi was a good show that I know I watched a bunch of times in the 70s, but you could have played that song and said I'd win $1B if I came up with what it was and I would have no idea it was the theme from Taxi.............That is just weird, because I would think that I remembered the theme songs from anything that I've watched a bunch of times.
