Wooderson Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I signed up for a two year contract with DirecTV in August of last year. I am moving out of my place May 1st and was planning on transferring the service to one of my roommates. They've since decided that they're going to move out June 1st due to various reasons. Is there any possible way that I can avoid or decrease the cost of the "early termination fee"? OR, if not, Is there any way I can transfer the service to the house I'm going to be moving in to? Sounds stupid but I figured I'd ask. If anybody has any knowledge on this matter and can help me it would be greatly appreciated. -Wood

Wooderson Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 http://www.directv.c...s?lpos=Footer:2 Oh wow, thanks Jay! I didn't even know that existed. I'll look into it.
GOBILLS78 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Yes, I'm sure you can transfer it. And you also have the option of freezing your account, which I did between the time I moved out of a house and waited for another to be built. There was no charge.
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 (edited) Yeah they don't want you switching services when you move so they actually give you stuff to stick with them. Edited April 10, 2013 by JÂy RÛßeÒ
