ALF Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Tampa could get a good CB in the draft for alot less in the 1st rd
Mike in Horseheads Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 If our front four are pretty legit, i think having 2 shut down corners with Mckelvin as our nickle would be nice. If we could afford him. Id trade for him. NO!... he's just a poison pill to clubhouses, wants more money than he's worth and now has suspect knees.
Rob T from OP Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Revis is no longer the shut down corner he once was. He's be traded already if he was healthy. He's damaged goods!!
FleaMoulds80 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 (edited) Sure. Give a division rival a top 10 pick so they can pick up an edge pass rusher to kill our QB. Great idea. Edited April 10, 2013 by FleaMoulds80
KD in CA Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 No way. Reavis will demand an enormous contract and then after one year he'll hold out for an even more enormous contract. This guy makes Jason Peters' contract demands seem reasonable. Not to mention handing the Jets a blue chip player at a rookie contract wage.
benderbender Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 We get Revis? Then who's the other shut down corner? That was my question
BillnutinHouston Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 I agree with all the negatives that have been stated. Why hand a divison rival a "get out of jail free" card with Revis' contract AND a #8 pick (and more), just for the priivilege of inheriting an injured malcontent who's constantly at war with the front office? No thanks.
quinnearlysghost88 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 We were sixth in pass defense with our current secondary. Maybe address run D or passing O. http://pickingpros.com/nfl/buffalo-bills-stats.php
MarkyMannn Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 We get Revis? Then who's the other shut down corner? LOL I was still trying to figure out his lead in with "our front 4 is legit"
offyourocker Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 We get Revis? Then who's the other shut down corner? That was my exact question
mjt328 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 We get Revis? Then who's the other shut down corner? Ha... That was the first question that came to my mind too.
Big Gun Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 great another shutdown corner, yeah just what we need. that will just force teams to run more and we all know the bills can't stop the run.
yungmack Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 If he was the Revis of 5 years ago then, yeah. But if it's the Revis of the last couple of years then no. His "shutdown" corner days are behind him.
peterpan Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Dee milner looks like.a.total stud to.me. I say draft him if ansah isn't there. In kipers latest mock he has us taking warmack with milner going to the jets at nine. I think we would be stupid to pass on.milner. if it plays out that way.
VirginiaMike Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Revis is coming off knee surgery. There is no way of knowing at this point if he will ever be what he was. Additionally, he's getting older and wants franchise style money. A move like this would drive me over the edge.
Captain Hindsight Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 If this was Madden I would have already done that deal. But with the salary cap and helping a division rival, Not a huge fan of this Having multiple shutdown corners and a good pass rush means very little in todays NFL. Ask the Eagles how having DRC, Asmough and Samual worked out? Teams targeted their LBs and ran right down their throats
HeHateMe Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Do not want. Over-rated player who, coming off injury won't be as good as he once was.. plus the money and what you would have to give up makes it a tard move... I always thought he was a good corner because he was called differently than other CBs.. Rex and the Jets hype machine made it seem like he was a God... he was allowed to be more physical with WRs than just about any other CB. Post injury he may be 3/4 of what he was..
