Tipster19 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 As I mentioned in previous threads that when you look at current rosters from around the NFL there is a shortage of quality TEs, especially pass catching ones. After a handful there isn't much out there. Coupled with that is also Chandler's status and it has me anticipating that Buffalo will finally make this position a priority this year in the draft. Always the optimist with this team it's probably better for my psyche to temper my expectations and give up my hope of them drafting Zach Ertz this year and lower my expectations to the mid-late rounds for this position. I've mentioned WR Mike Shanahan, who is projected as a TE in the NFL, in another post but here is another prospect with a big upside that I would like the Bills to take a look at. Not only did he play for Urban Meyer but Meyer himself compared Stoneburner to New England's Aaron Hernandez and that sure peaked my interest. Either way hopefully Buffalo gets it right this year when they draft this position.
machine gun kelly Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 I just looked up his stats and he is 6'5 , 245 lbs. With an avg yards per catch of 13.8, and 16.8 the last two years. What was his 40 time in the combine?
jaybee Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 4.52. 4.55. 4.65. Please note these are unofficial times. jb
The Big Cat Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Stoneburner is about as badass as a last name gets.
Doc Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 His official Combine 40-time was 4.62. He ran as fast as 4.50 though.
ProbablyWrong Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Didn't do a ton in college but also didn't have a ton asked of him. Always seemed to have a lot of potential and came up big at times during his career.
GOBILLS78 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Stoneburner is about as badass as a last name gets. Former ND star and Chicago Bear Mike Stonebreaker gets my vote. Burner < Breaker
The Big Cat Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Former ND star and Chicago Bear Mike Stonebreaker gets my vote. Burner < Breaker All you need is something heavy to break stones. To burn them? Now we're talking about something abnormally hot.
ICanSleepWhenI'mDead Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 We already have a burner with stone hands. His name is T.J. Graham.
Tipster19 Posted April 6, 2013 Author Posted April 6, 2013 He looks pretty good to me, I think that this is the guy for us. I hope that Buffalo locks him up and takes him in the 4th rd.

FWIW he struggled to find a home in Urban Meyer's offense last season and that offense is pretty friendly to talented players. Maybe it's the fact that he wasn't the focus, more of an option for Miller. Anyhoo, more was expected from him going into his senior season and he was underwhelming. Maybe that's a positive for us or another team who takes a gamble on him late.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I just looked up his stats and he is 6'5 , 245 lbs. With an avg yards per catch of 13.8, and 16.8 the last two years. What was his 40 time in the combine? kid has looked good at times, late round or UNDFA would be ideal.
