Captain Hindsight Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Good for him. Nice guy, met him a few times. I hope he does well
Johnny Hammersticks Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I really liked Nelson before his stupid antics during the Cowboys beatdown. That said, I wish him well. Definitely landed in a spot where he could be an immediate starter.
OldTimer1960 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Best of luck to him. I hope he is healthy enough to compete for a roster position.
Drewgetz Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 He is a professional football player that has a hot Dallas cheerleader girlfriend. (or at least he did) I think we should spread the wealth with the "best wishes". Just kidding. I hope he does well and Cleveland too for that matter.

Good to see he is still in the league and will get a chance to carve out a career in the league. Still think we should have kept him but I at least see the logic in not bringing him back.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Great news. We're going to regret letting him go. Dumb move.
Dragonborn10 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Never fast enough to play WR and not big enough for TE. He may not even make the Browns roster.
benderbender Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I would trade TJ Graham for his weight in Teddy Grahams and bring Nelson back
stinky finger Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I read somewhere he was going to become an All-Pro with the *Pats.
transient Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I read somewhere he was going to become an All-Pro with the *Pats. I thought that was Donald Jones.
ExWNYer Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Best of luck, DN...unless you're playing the Bills, of course.
Arkady Renko Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Never fast enough to play WR and not big enough for TE. He may not even make the Browns roster. And yet he was the second best receiver for the Bills in 2010 and 2011.
Wayne Fontes Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Value plummeted once he stopped bumping the dimples. #jesus
GDOSyr Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Really gonna miss this guy....wasnt an athletic freak but he played hard and produced on the field.
Dibs Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 And yet he was the second best receiver for the Bills in 2010 and 2011. No he wasn't.
Sumin Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Good news for Nelson, congrats to him on finding a job and best of luck. At the same time, though, releasing Nelson still seems puzzling to me. The tender wasn't extremely high priced, and now the Bills will have to spend more draft picks on WRs. Not necessarily a bad thing considering the depth of this WR class, but it doesn't hurt to stock talent on a roster devoid of it in the skill positions TJ Graham and Brad Smith both scare me
truth on hold Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Good for him. I'm sure everyone in buffalo wishes the best for him

NickelCity Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 No he wasn't. He was right about 2011 statistically (wrong about 2010, of course). Maybe I'll catch some flak, but I thought Nelson was our second most talented receiver (not exactly a ringing endorsement considering our WR corps but still). I'm surprised we didn't keep him. I hope that Doug made this call and not Buddy.
