Buffaloed in Pa Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 With all this QB talk. Some posters would want a vet . The top prospects this year have better stats than say a Matt Flynn. 21tds 11 ints ans a 56comp ratio. 7th rd pick. I`ll take my chances on one of this years prospects. With all this QB talk. Homey D. Clown Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) I for one would like to see a rookie QB, but not another JP Edwards experiment, but a Barkley or Nassib arrangement would really be good for this team. I don't think Matt Flynn can realistically be considered a vet anyway...at best he's done exactly as much as Rob Jiohnson did when we obtained that turnover machine. Edited March 27, 2013 by Homey D. NewEra Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I'd prefer a rookie this year, but considering the rookies that are likely to be available to us at 8, best case is get a 1 year stop gap and get our QB next year. I'd hate to draft a QB at 8 and have to roll with him the next 3-4 years even if its obvious he sucks after year 1, a la Blaine Gabbert. I think if we take a QB at 8 it'll be Manuel considering geno will be gone and Barkley might be as well. Manuel has some nice tools so I'd be excited to see how he does. Much more exciting than Flynn IMO. Then again, we'd have to use the 8th pick on him as opposed to a mid rd pick for Flynn. Hard to say. Glad I'm not the one making this decision.
