First off - No (despite what Poojer might do)

 

Second - This is a unique defense but will ultimately fail assuming Minnesota has a similar law as Texas - i.e. even if the relationship was consensual and the student of age, it's still a "no no" to engage in this activity if you are involved in the student's education.

I'm tempted to ask every time one of these threads pop up: is anyone privy to ratio of female teacher offenders to male teacher offenders?

 

Do the men just fall off the radar because...you know...it's not cool?

That's probably why.

 

The double standard is amazing as well.

 

When it's a female teacher, it's scandalous and gossipy and older men make jokes about how they wish that their teachers would've done that to them.

 

When it's a male teacher, everybody is ready to have the guy killed; Vlad the Impaler style.
