Mr. WEO Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Nix is actually very good at finding guys on the scrap heap that have contributed. Nelson, Urbik, Jones, Rhindhart were all undrafted/cut players that have played well for us in the past. Kyle Moore is another example. They contributed to a 6-10 record last season. I don't see them starting on another team.
Leelee Phoenix Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 How is this a competitive advantage? And it doesn't exist anyway because UDFA's get to choose where they want to play. Nobody's 1st choice is the Bills.
yungmack Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 San Francisco has 14 picks in next years draft. The Bills have 6. The Bills have lost a large number of players this year to free agency. They have brought in one. Yes the Bills have been so bad for so long that the undrafted do have better opportunities here there is no doubt about that. I agree the draft is number one. Vet free agency is number two. UDFA and FA in general should be number three priorities but given more attention than they are now. SF was given 3 compensatory picks so they now have 17 picks. The rich get richer...
Hazed and Amuzed Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 If our SOLE competitive advantage is UDFA, then we are in even worse shape then I thought.
Buftex Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Only thing is, just two years ago, the Bills were boasting about all of their "no-names", undrafted and 7th round draft picks...after two lousy seasons with those guys, guess what? A bunch have been dumped, and the Bills are re-building.
