Meathead Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 and rude rude and classless. but not dispicable keepin it TOO real is more like it
Drewgetz Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 I don't want this thread to distract us from our mutual hatred of Vince wilfork. This... He is still hate worthy but it doesn't mean we can't be jealous.
metzelaars_lives Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 There you have it. I got nuthin. Whoa. Being a Bills fan, how can you not know who Ted Johnson is? If you're saying he's a nobody that's fine, but you should know who he was as a football player. We did play them twice a year. I've made fun of Bianca and her burly build, but I'd never call her ugly. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder... Take Giselle Bunchen for example. -I think she's OK, but NOT smokin' hot like alot of people seem to think... Same with Kate Upton. -I'd hit that with ZERO hesitation (If I was single and had an opportunity) But there's definitely stuff wrong with her. (in my eyes) Her hips are a bit to narrow... Legs too skinny... etc.. Every woman brings something interesting to the table... The fact that someone does or does not live up to your "ideal" hardly makes their ugliness OR attractiveness official. Wait- what?
Hapless Bills Fan Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Never thought anything to do with Wilfork would bring out sentimentality on this board. On the field I hate his guts. I hate his guts so much it would all turn to love in an instant if he turned up at OBD wearing a Bills uni.
billsfan89 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Are you for real? I think your folks should let you grow up some before you're allowed to wander about unescorted, especially on the Internet 1) People get in trouble for "telling the truth" all the time. Most of us figgur this out at age 5 when we let out the F-bomb, Mom asks where we heard that, and we realize that "From Dad", while true, is probably not a good tactical response. Does the acronym "CLM"** have meaning to you? 2) Opinions are opinions. Facts are facts. People are entitled to opinions, but they are not properly described as either "truth" or "accurate". Calling someone "ugly" is not a fact and will never be a fact. It's an opinion. 3) Classy adults realize there's a line where expressing their opinions is pointlessly hurtful to others and should be stowed. Classless jerks just mouth off. 4) The fact that Wilfork's wife is a grown woman with what appears to be a decent head on her shoulders and can probably "handle" the behavior of a classless jerk, does not justify the jerky behavior, transform the jerk's opinion into a fact, or entitle him to take shots at a former teammate's family. **Career Limiting Move, often achieved by succumbing to the overwhelming impulse to mouth tactless truths in a business setting I bet you're just a hoot in a social setting. I understand people get in trouble for telling the truth because there has to be such a thing as context. But on a radio show calling someones wife ugly when by societal standards its the truth shouldn't get someone in trouble. I don't think you should feign outrage on behalf of someone else when what was said was the truth and in a perfectly acceptable context. People need to stop being so sensitive and outraged on others behalfs.
Meathead Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 (edited) lets not be subtle any longer, lets call a spade a white spade, that woman looks like she got hit with the ugly shovel twelve too many times. she flat out aint got no alibi. she ugly. its awesome ugly vince loves you too, honey. thats really great. you still both the fugly couple. not that theres anything wrong with that. you like two oscar madisons with no felixs Edited March 23, 2013 by Meathead

Are you still arguing that its ok to call a former coworkers wife ugly on the radio as long as she meets a certain standard of ugly? Edited March 23, 2013 by NoSaint
Meathead Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 i went all in on the ugly joke and i dont think it connected. boorish and rude and classless. youd think that would be a gold mine. your honor i withdraw the joke
Drewgetz Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 (edited) I would like you all to ask yourself an honest question before you judge a person as ugly. How would the person look to you if they were skinnier? I'm not saying this applies to everyone because I agree, the fact is, some people really are just plain ugly to most of us and weight can amplify the affect. I also find it disturbing that how a person looks tends to relate to their IQ. It seems that the better looking a person is the more successful they are. Also the very good looking and the very ugly tend to lack access to the top floor to the elevator. Sorry, tangent. Just really look at anyone before you judge them at first glance. I'm willing to bet there are less ugly people then you imagine there to be. The fact is there are a lot of big people that could be "good" looking if they weighed less. I think Natalie could be one of these people. Edited March 23, 2013 by Drewgetz
holmz56 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 I swear I saw Mrs.Wilfork at the Broadway Market yesterday !
Meathead Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 see here again youd think youve got comedy gold. mrs wilfork. market. broadway but ive already been burned this thread. im not going there
billsfan89 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Wait.... What was the context that was perfectly acceptable? Are you still arguing that its ok to call a former coworkers wife ugly on the radio as long as she meets a certain standard of ugly? If its the truth I am not going to take to task a ex-football player who I don't know calling his former teammate (Who I don't know) wife ugly. I am not going to be outraged on behalf of someone I don't know when all they did was tell the truth.
outsidethebox Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Vince Wilfork has his say in response. Pretty articulate and classy under the circs: "I love my wife and my family. She is my everything. ...take shots at me all day but not them. I have a great family life and blessed to have them" I have a dream, that some day before I die, the media will climb out of its collective Man Caves and sweat-putrid High School Lockerooms and "get" that women actually do exist independent of men's eyes rating their appearance. I "get" it that gangly hormonal male adolescent punks are prone by nature to make that error. All of us were hormone driven adolescents, once in the day. And then most of us grew up. The movie "Marty" was released in 1955 and it's still news to some people. I wouldn't exactly call his response classy. In fact I wouldn't call that dirty ass player classy in anything. He is a dirty player. As far as what that moron Johnson said about his wife, that was wrong. But what would you expect from a player from such a "classy" organization?
kickedface Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 yeah this is pretty ridiculous. she is not attractive, being honest about that is fine. rationalizing that she somehow is, well its not believable. the big girl for a big guy is pretty stupid as well. there is a reason there is a standard of which most people see attractiveness to be a certain set of attributes, its hardwired into our biology. after all we aren't anything but animals.
CJPearl2 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 What a lot of you are missing is that Ted Johnson isn't getting "in trouble." He's not being arrested. He has the right to say stupid ****, but he also needs to realize that there are repercussions for saying something like that. Like people not wanting to hire you. His main worry right now however, should be Vince Wilfork kicking the **** out him the next time he sees him. Also, would any of you throw one of your buddies or ex teammates under the bus like that, even if you knew it was true. Seems like he wanted to be a funny guy on the radio. Not the smartest thing.
Big Turk Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 He was telling the truth...it was everything I could do to not barf when she was being shown on TV for like 10 minutes straight during the Bills home game with the Pats this year. She looked like she was trying to plan the post game buffet and make some changes because she didn't like what was being served... yeah this is pretty ridiculous. she is not attractive, being honest about that is fine. rationalizing that she somehow is, well its not believable. the big girl for a big guy is pretty stupid as well. there is a reason there is a standard of which most people see attractiveness to be a certain set of attributes, its hardwired into our biology. after all we aren't anything but animals. ^^^^ This She is just plain ugly. Its kind of embarrassing for a guy with that kind of money, playing in the NFL to be married to someone that looks like a stuck pig.
holmz56 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I went back to the market to see if she was there, and she was ! Turns out , she's part owner of the Wardynski Meat stand !
WotAGuy Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) Beauty is in the eye of the beholder- but I will say Mrs. Wilfork is a pretty cool lady. My nephew and I were walking up the stairs to our seats at the Ralph a few years ago and she was walking in front of us. We asked if we could get a photo with her and she was very sweet and allowed us to do so. It's almost as good as the pic I took of my nephew with Ralph! Edited March 24, 2013 by WotAGuy
Kemp Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 The radio guy is a jerk, which puts him a rung above some of the folks who have commented in this thread.
