Captain Hindsight Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 id bet miami, with the high priced free agents if they arent doing denver/pitt they are trying for stadium renovations there, and this could be a nice little gift wallace would be a steeler storyline for rivalry, as could ellerbe they would likely win but in a good game Makes sense Denver would be my choice
Erik Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 My guess is that Baltimore will open with Pittsburgh or Cincinnati. Cincy has the same issue as Baltimore does so they are out as well.
NoSaint Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 (edited) I'd put strong money against Cleveland just cause it would be cruel to those fans. Would be ugly for the nfl Buffalo still 6th on my list though. Edited March 22, 2013 by NoSaint
NoSaint Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I think we have a 50 - 50 chance. As likely as the other 7 teams combined?
VABills Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Karma would make it a rainout for the Orioles game.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Karma would make it a rainout for the Orioles game. That would be awesome!
kasper13 Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Doesn't every team have to play a prime time game? May as well be that one. Figure they get ratings just because it's the first game of the season even though it would be a blowout .
Dr. Trooth Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 No. NFL would sooner matchup the world champs with the steelers or bengals, not a perennial bottom feeder.
Leelee Phoenix Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 No. 99.9% of the country does not want to watch the Bills, ever.

Figure they get ratings just because it's the first game of the season even though it would be a blowout . Nope - this is the only Thursday nighter not on the nfl network. NBC isn't giving this game away to just any team. They want something special, not the worst possible because people will watch anyway. NBC spends a FORTUNE on rights to this. This is a night they try to break records Edited March 23, 2013 by NoSaint
It's in My Blood Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 I guess it could happen. If we select Geno Smith next month, it could be more likely.
NoSaint Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 I guess it could happen. If we select Geno Smith next month, it could be more likely. Decision is announced before the draft
Leelee Phoenix Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Geno Smith won't change anything. The opponent will very likely be Denver, possibly Pittsburgh.
boyst Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Since we are going to play Baltimore this would be perfect. Catch them early, new team overhauled, at home, at night, season opener. The first game to... say it Senator! 19-0 baby!
It's in My Blood Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Decision is announced before the draft Well there goes that theory.

The first game to... say it Senator! 19-0 baby! this is the best case scenario. c'mon gilmore... SPILL DA BEANZ!!!!!!!!!1
Joe W Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 The Bills prime time game this year will be an away game. Probably a Thursday night and likely the Pittsburgh game
first_and_ten Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Baltimore can not open on Thursday night at home because of parking with Baltmore orioles night game. They can not play NE because they play them at home. Could it be us? Does anyone seriously think the NFL will open it's year with the Buffalo Bills? They want ratings. The Bills have no chance to be scheduled for that game.
