xsoldier54 Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Yes but Skelton - not Kolb - is the Cardinals QB that we want, even if it means trading Mario to make it happen. That is quite possibly the stupidest thing I have ever read on this board. Mario for Skelton? Kolb is a better QB than he showed in Zona. Their O-Line sucked and Whisenhunt's system is what got him fired.
BringBackFergy Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Did your years of scouting tell you there is no franchise QB or are you influenced by what you hear on ESPN? I'm willing to bet that a year from today we'll see threads by people there was no good QB this year to make a thread about why we are dumb for not drafting <insert name here> I read MOVALLEY Randy's son's scouting report on every QB...it was an excellent read. None of them are bonafide, ironclad studs . That being said, if they select one at #8 (and leave our LB corps or WR corps depleted) We may say the same thing as you suggest next year about this WR that we missed or that LB that we passed up.

Bangarang Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 For those saying that Kolb had a bad o-line; How do you answer the fact that Kolb was sacked almost twice as many times (27) in 6 games as Skelton was in 7 (15)? Perhaps Kolb sucks at feeling pressure and moving in the pocket?
26CornerBlitz Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 (edited) @caplannfl Kolb has always done better when asked to work on 3/5 step-drop passing game, which Bills will use this season. @caplannfl Bills OL is significantly better than the Cardinals, obviously, and new coaching staff understands completely how to use him. Leelee Phoenix Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Perhaps Kolb sucks at feeling pressure and moving in the pocket? Yes, he's terrible at it and lacks any pocket presence. The only place time when Kolb looks impressive is with quick west coast passes. He can zing timing throws pretty well. That will require Stevie and TJ Graham to run great routes... hahahaha oh man
Bangarang Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 They will still draft a qb in #rd 1 imo I truly hope so.
Heitz Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 @caplannfl also said: Former Eagles and Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb has agreed to a 2-year deal worth a maximum of $13 M (with playing time, passing incentives). Interested to see the real breakdown...
26CornerBlitz Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 (edited) @caplannfl Kolb works best hurry-up offense (no-huddle, fast paced). Looking forward to how they dial-up passing game this season. @caplannfl Bills put on full court press this week with Kolb. Pretty clear they feel he will be a really good fit for new offense. Chilly Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Oh goodie. They went all out to sign Kolb. That makes me feel great.

Perhaps Kolb sucks at feeling pressure and moving in the pocket? Skelton only played 3 full games in 2012, was sacked 13 times in those 3 games They gave up 58 sacks in 16 games Cardinals also went 4-2 in Kolb's 6 starts last season Edited March 31, 2013 by Carey Bender
26CornerBlitz Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 @AdamSchefter Here's how much Bills wanted Kevin Kolb in Buffalo: Staff spent last weekend with him, then hosted Kolb in BUF on Thurs and Fri to visit.

Solomon Grundy Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 This is good. It will allow Mike Glennon half the season to win the starting job. It will also allow the Bills to grab Lane Johnson with the 8th pick to sure up the offensive line. Great move.
