boyst Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Sign him. Buddy asleep? Russ is cheap! Im so done with this team! DOOMED!!!
26CornerBlitz Posted March 14, 2013 Author Posted March 14, 2013 Please, Jets, sign him! Sanchez, Garrard, and Kolb would be one sorry QB depth chart.
Snorom Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 at best he and Cassel represents a cheap stop gap 2nd string backup option for us... fact is we have to add 2 QB's . We'll draft one, but Travaris Jackson and Corp are not enough for a decent camp competition, and I fail to see who is better out there in FA
Shoutbox Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Yes but Skelton - not Kolb - is the Cardinals QB that we want, even if it means trading Mario to make it happen.
Dr Doom Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) Worth a shot! Do it... or... Doomed! Edited March 14, 2013 by Dr Doom
papazoid Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 increases the chances of them using the #7 pick on a QB
aristocrat Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Jets qb competition will be great on nfl network. (i say this completely ignoring our qb position)
truth on hold Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 (edited) He has potential. That had to have been about the worst oline I've ever seen and he still hung in there and made some plays. For the right price could be worth a shot Edited March 14, 2013 by Joe_the_6_pack
947 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I have a feeling he'll be unemployed until after the draft. Kolb will be some team's consolation prize after missing out on a QB in the draft, hopefully not ours.
Bangarang Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Sanchez, Garrard, and Kolb would be one sorry QB depth chart. Much better than Jackson and Corp
The Big Cat Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Sanchez, Garrard, and Kolb would be one sorry QB depth chart. You're not wrong...but people in glass houses... Much better than Jackson and Corp
26CornerBlitz Posted March 14, 2013 Author Posted March 14, 2013 You're not wrong...but people in glass houses... Shhhh...don't tell anybody.
zow2 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 increases the chances of them using the #7 pick on a QB Yes, that's the only big news out of this as far as I'm concerned. If the Bills have any desire for Barkley (and i would not be disappointed if they got him)...the Cards might have just made the first move at drafting him #7.
Snorom Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 increases the chances of them using the #7 pick on a QB How many top FA LT have they signed in FA they cannot pass on a OT at #7
Bills Fan888 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 He has potential. That had to have been about the worst oline I've ever seen and he still hung in there and made some plays. For the right price could be worth a shot This is what I was thinking. He finished the season with a better QB rating than Fitz despite his o-line and he has been better than Fitz throughout his career. I would be happy picking him up and waiting a year to draft a QB when there's a better batch.
Chicago_Mike Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 We don't need a guy like Kolb. He's an average QB and could be a stopgap, but, he's been pretty brittle... not sure if it's b/c of his size, strength or his O-line letting him killed back there, but, like in most cases, it's a combination of all three.
t317 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 If the channism still rings true of always trying to upgrade at a position then Kolb should at least be considered at OBD.
The Big Cat Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Methinks Bruce Arians has learned the value of waiting for the right QB---i.e. not reaching for one this year if you can avoid it. He had a front row seat for the Suck for Luck campaign--17 weeks of misery for 10+ years of success...which reminds...
