Saint Doug Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Title says it all. We need Patriot killers on our roster.
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I do appreciate his very public hatred of the Patriots organization.
JM57 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 SS without a doubt. Hes an in the box punishing hitting type safety
Wooderson Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I kinda wanted him too...and then I read this tweet which makes me think twice. @profootballtalk League source on Bernard Pollard: "Three teams in how many years. Soon four. What does that tell you?"
mrags Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 SS. I mentioned this in the Lawson thread. I'd take this guy in a heartbeat.

Youth movement on the Ravens D. Also doesn't it seem like they have had almost constant turnover at safety next to Ed Reed? Jim Leonhard. Dawan Landry. Bernard Pollard.
Captain Hindsight Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 SS without a doubt. Hes an in the box punishing hitting type safety Hmm I like Searcy but we need three good one in pettines scheme and he does hate the Pats*....
TC in St. Louis Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 He was only set to make a couple million. Wonder why they cut him? We could use a hitter out there, though. I hope Butty is looking at this guy.
KollegeStudnet Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 S. Ridley is the one who nicknamed him 'The Patriot Killer' Sign him Now!
KeisterHollow Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I say go get the man! We have a hole there - he fits the mold we're looking for. I believe I read he was only due like 2 million this year - that's a contract the Bills should have no problem with paying (I figured he'd command 4 million a year range). I really like that safety from Syracuse, but Pollard would be an ideal fit, IMO.
Dean Cain Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Belichick might take a flier on this guy and turn him into his next Rodney Harrison.
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I swear, the man looks like exactly what I wanted from Landy...only CHEAPER! Take him Buddy! Take him now! With as much subtext from those words as necessary.
Rob's House Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I know he hits hard, but is he that good overall? I'm asking, I haven't really focused on him. Also, isn't his game similar to Searcy's?
Dat Dude Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 SS without a doubt. Hes an in the box punishing hitting type safety
peterpan Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Who is our backup FS? I only ask because in past years GW would shift over to FS and our backup SS would play if Byrd was out. With GW gone, we dont have a backup FS. Could Pollard fill that role as well as start at SS? Could Searcy be backup at both positions? Is A Williams going to be the backup FS? Something to consider when building a roster

Something to consider when building a roster Manva Silva, if I remember correctly. But even then, from what I've heard of Pettine's defense he tends to like playing with three safeties and mixes up their roles to make coverage harder to read.
