mitchmurraydowntown Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 The Bills froze during day one of FA & cut our only QB. Knowing now that we're at least 2 years away from being decent, why spend all this money on Mario? We're better off diversifying our resources to other positions of need & not keeping the shiny penny. Our current ownership / management structure isn't going to change & we're 13 years out of the playoffs. I see us going nowhere until we get a new owner & he cuts bait, so Mario is a useless luxury that gets us exactly where we are, nowhere. Take 2 first round picks from Cleveland & ship him off, we need the picks.
Aus Bills Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Would take 2 first rounders for sure, but no way would anyone offer that for Mario. Especially after last season.
auburnbillsbacker Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 How about the bills keep good players instead of trading them for picks that often don't amount to much. Mario played well after his wrist surgery.
Mark80 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Obviously you don't understand how cap penalties work. Mario is untradeable at this point.
ALF Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 We are back to square one , just hope the next owner keeps the bills here and has enough money already.
Green Lightning Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Great idea, let's further deplete this team and on the one area we have some strength. Let's leave Mario where he is and see what Pettine does with him.
Jerry Christ Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 could you stop posting the same thing on every Buffalo Bills site........that get annoying.
wonderbread Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 could you stop posting the same thing on every Buffalo Bills site........that get annoying. How many sites has he posted this to?
Dibs Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Obviously you don't understand how cap penalties work. Mario is untradeable at this point. Nah.....it would only be 5.4m dead cap hit for us this year.......and a paltry 17.8m dead cap hit next year. After that we are clear though.
Maury Ballstein Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 How about no Scott Get off the ledge...it's not that bad there's a draft comin sir.
Beerball Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 We need a QB, I think that they should trade him to AZ for Skelton.
ny33 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 We need a QB, I think that they should trade him to AZ for Skelton. We should trade Mario for Ryan Lindley, not Skelton.
swnybillsfan Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 We need a QB, I think that they should trade him to AZ for Skelton. this is an automated response... this topic is being discussed in another epic thread that must soon be recussitated soon after the bills draft a qb and the board goes into meltdown mode and we need to find a new, new qb.
K-9 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 This place makes me want to shoot myself. GO BILLS!!!
ALF Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 If Pettine can get Mario to the level of Bruce Smith and Reggie White he would be worth it or restructure after next year.
KD in CA Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 The Bills "froze" during day one of FA when the only way to sign someone is to throw crazy money at them, and your solution to fixing that problem is to dump the guy the Bills threw crazy money at on day one of FA last year?
DDD Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 If Pettine can get Mario to the level of Bruce Smith and Reggie White he would be worth it or restructure after next year. Are you serious? Smith and White were once in a generation players. Williams will never be in that company. Coaching like draft picks is so over-rated it's ridiculous.
JPS Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I don't see Nix reversing out of a $100 M commitment soon after he ate his investment in Ryan Fitz.
