Joe Miner Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 a private firm was lying about its pension obligations and mismanaging its pension assets and liabilities on the scale of the State of Illinois treasury. SOP for the gov't . A greedy move propagated against the working class by private business.
Juror#8 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I don't know how and why this keeps happening. I watch "American Greed" on CNBC often and it seems like the corporate world is replete with these stories. And then the fu(kers invariably abscond to some tropical country.
DC Tom Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 a private firm was lying about its pension obligations and mismanaging its pension assets and liabilities on the scale of the State of Illinois treasury. But that's different, because the state's liabilities are secured by their ability to tax. So it's really the fault of the rich fat-cats at the private firms for not paying their fair share.
