B-Man
Certainly can't argue with any of the great suggestions given. Any male crooner/singer is fine by me I particularly applaud the Mills Brother, Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong suggestions. Don't overlook Al Jolson or Eddie Cantor, corny to most (going by today's so-called standards), but some really nice music there.

Wooderson
I throw this on at work once in a while, always puts me in a solid mood. I believe it's late 50's but I'm not positive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hB669XXjnUg

Kind of Blue got me hooked on jazz upon that first listen. To think that the whole album was improv is incredible. Amazing album

boyst
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--_AXFcm48o Felt like adding a good song here. Bob Wills from 1940. Some good Texas Swing right there. It is just beautiful - got that Country infused in to Jazz kind of sound. Edited March 31, 2013 by jboyst62
