San Jose Bills Fan Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) She lasted only 2 kicks: http://www.nypost.co...Xb1Q4qWXTaU7G3L "She tried two kickoffs, the first going 19 yards and the second about 13 yards, and then asked to see a trainer. As more than two dozen media, including E! Entertainment network, watched her every move, the 28-year-old Silberman was examined off to the side of the practice field. About 30 minutes later, while 36 other kickers continued their workouts, she called the scene "surreal" and thanked the NFL for "this tremendous opportunity." Makes you wonder if she even prepared for this. A soccer player who could only her first kickoff 57 feet? Hell I could do better than that. And the story says she was a club soccer player which says to me that she wasn't on the varsity team. Am I wrong here? Edited March 4, 2013 by San Jose Bills Fan
San Jose Bills Fan Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 So it appears that Wisconsin does have a Women's Varsity Soccer Team. So how this woman got a tryout is a big mystery seeing as she wasn't even good enough to play varsity. I wonder how she was chosen. http://www.uwbadgers.com/sports/w-soccer/mtt/wis-w-soccer-mtt.html
T master Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 She might be a looker , & she might have a great set of legs, but she ain't no kicker when it comes to football !! She kicked 2 kicks 7 neither of them went farther than 20 yds . Great to look at for sure !!
buffaloboyinATL Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 The Jets will sign her. They love a side show.

There'll be another one tomorrow.
Maddog69 Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 What's she gonna do after games and practices. Shower with the boys? might help with recruiting free agents.
Maddog69 Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Look at the pictures in the link. The 3rd picture looks like a completely different person.
aristocrat Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 She hit every branch on the way down that ugly tree
Maybe Someday Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 So it appears that Wisconsin does have a Women's Varsity Soccer Team. So how this woman got a tryout is a big mystery seeing as she wasn't even good enough to play varsity. I wonder how she was chosen. http://www.uwbadgers...soccer-mtt.html All she had to do was pay the $275 fee required to participate. I was surprised how easy it was to tryout. You pay the fee and provide the equivalent of a resume on why you’re qualified to participate. Her reason was that she played soccer and I guess that was good enough to get her through. Maybe Wisconsin women’s soccer was a club sport back when she would have played??? Heck, maybe she just played on a club team after school. IMO, this was all for the publicity and it worked. Like 20 news outlets showed up to cover this particular combine when it’s rare for more than 1 or 2 to show up. I did read over the weekend that a few other participants had said that she asked multiple people the basics of kicking including how to place the ball on the tee. If she were legit, she could have at least said that her kicks in practice went X far but she didn’t do that either. She only said that she hoped the scouts liked her technique, it’s not always length. I’m sure some of you guys can relate to that.
49er Fan Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Love the comment from the NYP article - "put her in on onside kicks - she can let it rip!"
