Buffalo Barbarian
not bad but ansah isn't a fit in Pettine's D I obviously I want Patterson. Offense wins Championships!
Dragonborn10
Jordan at OLB? Never played there in college not to say that it can't be done. Never dropped in coverage. Rushed from a three point stance. I agree he projects only as a 3-4 OLB. He will be boom or bust. Don't see Cleveland taking another QB. Can't see us passing on Patterson or Jones. Secretly hoping Milner slips to 8 and we trade back with a team that wants him. That likely only happens if Smith is taken in the top 7 along with Patterson or another OL/DT. KRT88
How does Manti Te'o still end up in the first round? That's never gonna happen now that he's shown to be slower than most dump trucks and we know he's not too bright. Plus NFL teams are concerned about the gay question, even though they can't ask and claim they aren't. I see Patterson or Johnson as a more likely pick at #8 for Buffalo. truth on hold
Almost no chance we take DE. Dline is our strongest unit on defense, we have gaping holes in the LB corp, and needs in secondary too. Why people keep saying DE rd 1 escapes me. FleaMoulds80
not bad but ansah isn't a fit in Pettine's D I obviously I want Patterson. Offense wins Championships! Ansah fits into Pettines hybrid defense perfectly. Are you kidding me? 3rd down, keep Ansah, Mario, Dareus and Kyle in there with Anderson as a 3rd down rush specialist. He's clearly athletic enough to be an OLB. You haven't seen his combine workouts have you Almost no chance we take DE. Dline is our strongest unit on defense, we have gaping holes in the LB corp, and needs in secondary too. Why people keep saying DE rd 1 escapes me. Is it really? Based off what stat? Strongest unit by name and roster? We were AVERAGE, but obviously Bills fans like to settle for average. I want above average. This LB, QB, Secondary, RB, WR, class is WHACK. So freakin weak and you want to reach for a LB, WR, QB that doesn't even have top 10 grades? How does Manti Te'o still end up in the first round? That's never gonna happen now that he's shown to be slower than most dump trucks and we know he's not too bright. Ooooh another 40 yd dash junkie. 40 yd dash isn't all that important for a LB unless you're trying to chase a RB/WR down from behind. If that's the case, then that LB isn't doing his job right. Are you fckin serious with this ignorant comment? Who cares if he is or isn't. The only thing they should be concerned about is his performance on the field. VirginiaMike
There are at minimum 6 positions we need more than a D-End -- QB, WR, TE, ILB. OLB, CB. This is the kind of pick that leaves Bills fans befuddled and hopeless. I'd much rather have Jones, or Patterson, or Mingo and I'm not even high on Paterson
FleaMoulds80
Jordan at OLB? Never played there in college not to say that it can't be done. Never dropped in coverage. Secretly hoping Milner slips to 8 and we trade back with a team that wants him. That likely only happens if Smith is taken in the top 7 along with Patterson or another OL/DT. Has any legit 34 OLB in the NFL really played that in college? Probably not. Byrd played CB in college. Urlacher played Safety in college. So I don't see why Jordan can't play OLB in 34. It's really not that difficult of a transition for a player like him. Browns have a completely different front office who'll want different things. They're not sold on Weeden or McCoy and could ship one of them off. Their defense is pretty good but QB is a definite need for them. There are at minimum 6 positions we need more than a D-End -- QB, WR, TE, ILB. OLB, CB. This is the kind of pick that leaves Bills fans befuddled and hopeless. I'd much rather have Jones, or Patterson, or Mingo and I'm not even high on Paterson OK so let's break this down. Sorry but there's no QB worth a top 10 pick. No ILB worth a top 10 pick. No CB really worth that either. No TE worth that either. Cordarrelle has bust written all over him. You guys can slobber over him but I'm not impressed. So you get a player that can play OLB and DE and versatile which is what Pettine wants. I don't care if its Jordan or Ansah, we need one of those guys. KOKBILLS
Jordan at OLB? Never played there in college not to say that it can't be done. Never dropped in coverage. Are you talking about Dion Jordan? You might want to go back and look at the tape...He dropped a ton in College...Charles Davis commented the other day during the Combine that the reason Jordan's Sack numbers were down was due to the fact that they dropped him a ton at Oregon...Even against WR's at times...He's one of the most fluid drop OLB's, if not the most fluid, in this entire Draft...Yes he projects best to OLB in a 3-4 due to his size and big-time upside as a pass rusher...But teams have ZERO concern about his ability to drop...In fact he may very well be viewed as an answer in coverage to these great young TE's teams are utilizing nowadays...He's got the size-speed-athleticism...etc...But Jordan can, and did, drop in coverage at Oregon...No doubt about it... True story. Good attempt at a mock, Flea....only question I have is Floyd (I don't think he makes it out of the top 5. Jax looks like a great spot for him, or even Oak now that Seymour is gone, Despite the reports that they like Geno. As for our pick, I wouldn't mind taking Ansah if Jordan is off the board. I'm even warming up to Patterson, but both guys are a little bit of a projection considering their limited experience.
JPS
I think you should re-post this closer to the draft. The person with the most correct 1st round picks should be the Exalted Grand Puhbah for a year. Literally...change screen name and everything. Maddog69
Nice job. Mock drafts are like lottery tickets (very low odds of getting it right). But they are entertaining. I agree with previous posters about Cleveland. I would be surprised if they go QB in Rd1. I also don't think Te'o goes that early. If Barkley is gone before 8, I would love to see the Bills trade down for extra picks. Would love to somehow get Both of St Louis' #1 pick. Maybe our 1 and 3 for their top 2. I'd even throw in a mid rounder next year to make the point values match up.
peterpan
I love it. Ansah is who I want too. not bad but ansah isn't a fit in Pettine's D How come? Ansah's #s in both size and athletic tests are identical to JPP, and I have read lots of teams are projecting him to OLB, so it would seem he could play both? Wasn't Pettine talking about playing a hybrid type defense too? Edited February 28, 2013 by peterpan

Honestly I could really care less if the dude is gay or not...But if we're going to turn this board...my personal sanctuary...into some PC, tree-hugging haven...I'm out...This is a football board with a huge bunch of ex-jocks...I'm not saying we are always right...And maybe sometimes folks cross well over the line...But to me that's 100 times better than trying to control speech, or calling someone ignorant for giving an honest (even if possibly incorrect) assessment of how they see things...
