Julian said only seven African American students tried out for the musical and only one of those students, Kierrah Titus, tried out for a leading role. Julian confirmed that no African American students were selected for leading roles, but said she wasn’t sure how many of the seven African American students are involved in the musical.

The racists bastards at that school clearly should have taken the black students out of their cotton-picking 101 classes and forced them to audition for the play.

“You don’t cast for a show based on the color of someone’s skin or someone’s sex,” he said. “You cast for who can pull off the role.”

That's just racist double-talk.

Maybe the black students were just too lazy..... my mother-in-law knows damn well they slow down intentionally while walking infront of your car at a crossing, and wear very dark clothes at night on purpose...

So one AA kid tried out for a lead role, didn't get it, and one of the parents said that "you cast for who can pull off the role"? Sounds like you have your answer right there.
