Coach Tuesday Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Call me nuts but Ill take the business plan of my competitors, even my bad ones, any day of the week. I think you're giving Nix wayyyyyy too much credit when you say that he has an actual plan.
boyst Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 This is all nice, but how does it explain going 16-32? Cue blaming the fired guy. If you break it down more thoroughly can you justify that he was the reason that Wannstadt was fired? That A.Williams was selected? That TJ Graham was selected? That we brought in Donald Jones and gave a contract to Fitz? How powerful was this guy? If he didn't have much power at all should we be that excited that he signed an extension?
Boludo Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 whaley is alright he's not elite but he's still improving as a GM and they've been making better personnel decisions than in years past im glad he's still around
NickelCity Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 whaley is alright he's not elite but he's still improving as a GM and they've been making better personnel decisions than in years past im glad he's still around But will he become a "franchise" GM?
Boludo Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 But will he become a "franchise" GM? who else they gonna get? he's as good as an option as the bills have available
outsidethebox Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 I don't care if Ronald f'n Mcdonald is the GM. I just want a winning team!
Superb Owl Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Continuity is key in the nfl Ohhh then maybe Whaley is "respected" by other teams for ensuring the consistency of our suckitude?
Mr. WEO Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 What upgrades are needed on the DL? Also, secondary isn't all pro, but come on, it's as deep as it's been in some time, hence the release of Wilson. Searcy has arrived, and if Williams is the nickel or moved to safety then i really like it. Buddy has built from the lines out. Has he bricked on some picks? Of course. Would we all love to have CK or RW? YES! However, this is the guy that got us Glenn, Carrington, Mario, Urbik, Rinehart, Pears, and Dareus and has worked to re ink OL and DL depth including Colin Brown Sam Young etc. I think we can all agree he mis-targeted CK and RW, perhaps thinking they would go a round later. But wtf guys? For years we have complained about our interior being soft on both sides. Now we finally have a GM willing to address that first and we want to run him out of town because he didn't draft Andy Freakin Dalton? The defense is awful. Dalton would have been an upgrade at QB. That's an easy call.
