NoSaint Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Nifty stuff - steep price at $1500 to beta test it What's everyone think? Pretty cool tech. http://www.google.com/glass/start/
Cynical Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 A car accident waiting to happen. After a few hundred or so, another piece of technology to ban while driving.
BringBackFergy Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) Pretty cool idea. It would drive me crazy though...looking at that little window in the upper right corner all the time. Possibility of going cross eyed (like in "The Jerk" with Steve Martin) Edited February 21, 2013 by BringBackFergy
BillsWatch Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 As someone who is cross eyed and has a weak, almost blind right eye I could not appreciate gizmo. As someone with limited pocket book could not afford it.
truth on hold Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) sounds like Google doesn't have any idea what to do with it either. That's why theyre asking people to tell them what theyd do with it. Pay $1500 to do their research for them? No thanks Edited February 21, 2013 by Joe_the_6_pack
shrader Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 How long until they figure out how to put it in a contact? I could actually see that happening at some point in my life.

NoSaint Posted February 21, 2013 Author Posted February 21, 2013 How long until they figure out how to put it in a contact? I could actually see that happening at some point in my life. I could see that as well - im not sure the real value of its current state but it looks to be a bridge to some pretty cool break throughs on the horizon potentially.
truth on hold Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) I think Google glass is a novelty niche product until its proven otherwise. I think apple and samsungs rumored smart watches have a lot more potential as integrated daily use devices. http://www.ebnonline.com/author.asp?section_id=1059&doc_id=259274&itc=ebnonline_gnews http://www.engadget.com/2013/02/21/apple-patent-application-flexible-display-band/ Edited February 21, 2013 by Joe_the_6_pack
boyst Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Ok, finally had a chance to watch this. I have just a few questions... How will this improve my porn watching? Can it X-ray images in front of me like I can do on Photoshop?
